Gamers are so cynical. How are technolgoies and advancements allow to evolve if they're never given the chane to grow?

Is Onlive perfect? No, but it doesn't mean that cloud gaming isn't the future. In fact, completely removing the need for hardware for gamers to enjoy modern games on their cell phone, TV, or computer screen is pretty exciting.

As soon as I get my Cable internet, I'll be making use of Onlive...since services like this are what the gaming industry needs imo.

If I read it correctly you can NOT earn real money; you earn Blizzard store credit to buy other games or more WoW time. All of the money goes straight to Blizzard.Nerkcon

No, you can have the money sent to your Blizzard account, or you can have it sent to a 3rd party i.e. Paypal.

I just think people overreact to anything Blizzard does at this point. There are so many spoiled brats playing their games, and contrarian haters not playing thier game, that Blizzard making any sort of move like this will just breed contempt from everyone...regardless of the legitimacy of their idea.

I would be totally against this if say we could ONLY use the AH for real money...then that would be pretty lame. But since I can use in-game or real currency, anyone will be able to participate in the AH...only thing players gained was another option.

I've sunk so much time into WoW that I wish their was a way to get real money for all the time I've invested...now maybe I can with D3. Or, if I end being a more casual D3 player...then in-game currency is perfectly viable.

Who knows how this will work out in the end...it may be the best thing ever, or it could be a gian fly in the ointment...but we won't know until this launches...so no point in people crying foul over a feature that's completely optional and untested.

In one breath, players will complain about gold sellers and blame the developer for doing "nothing" about the problem...but in the next breath, they'll condemn a developer for taking an active role in creating a system that essentially eliminates the "black market" for digital goods.

If anyone took the time to actually read the article, they would know that both in-game currency and real life currency can be used...so if you choose to strictly use in-game funds, you'll be spending $0 on the Auction House. However, if you do choose to use the AH for real money, then flat fees will be charged as a means for revenue, and preventing people from just spamming the AH with junk.

Overall, I like this idea. It gives dedicated Diablo 3 players a legit way to make money off their gaming, while at the same time removing much of the power away from gold/item sellers.

But I'm sure their are Blizzard haters that will feel "betrayed", "slapped in the face", and "disgusted" by D3's AH no matter how rational those feelings really are.

It seems like whenever a new MMO comes out, if it's not absolutely perfect in it's coding and optimization, along with WoW level of polish, it's instantly dismissed as garbage and left to die. However, I think a lot of people forget that even World of Warcraft had serious issues when it was first released. From horrible talents, balanceissues, bad world travel methods, and terrible endgame gear itemization, WoW was far from pefect.

But today, if a game were to be released with similar problems as WoW, I'm not sure if it's given enough time to develop, and correct those issues before the dreaded mass exodus occurs. In addition to that obstacle, new MMO's now also must deal with the Contrarian WoW haters who will instantly label any MMO as a WoW Clone if it so much has a single similarity to World of Warcraft.

Of course I'm not saying that some of the MMO's that are released don't deserve some of the criticism that they receive. But if World of Warcraft got the same treatment modern MMO's do...we would be talking about WoW as a Blizzard failure...not as THE GREATEST MMO EVER.

So, could we as gamers be part of the reason why a legit WoW contender has yet to emerge...because we simply don't give any new MMO's enough time to actually become a WoW competitor?

AMD Phenom and above CPU's are holding ANY games back. If they do use the Bulldozer APU, along with an AMD GPU, we could actually see some pretty good performance if they crossfire them.

What kind of graphics power could be obtained by using the new AMD apu's that's crossfiredwith a discrete GPU? First generation models of the APU's have been pretty impressive, so I'm sure the new consoles would be using the upgraded versions...giving them the potential to have very good graphics capabilities for substantially cheaper.

Or would the APU route not be feasable?

I love my PC and PS3...but I really do miss Gears of War. So I'm thinking about picking up the PC version of Gears 1, but not sure if it's worth it at this point.

Can anyone comment on the quality of the PC version and how it stacks up to modern PC games?

And is it safe to assume that multiplayer is dead for the PC version?

I use the Turtle Beach Earforce PX21...and they've been pretty fantastic so far. Easy to use and setup, along with good sound quality, but I'm not an audiophile, so others may think differently. They cost me around $70 at Walmart.
