@hochstreck @Arcturuss No, Arcturuss gets the point, and you do not. Kickstarter backers paid money for Broken Age (original simple Kickstarter ideaversion) and not Broken Age (Tim's director's cut with expensive time-consuming dream features he wanted to shove in afterwards version).

Hochstreck, imagine you paid a contractor $10,000 to upgrade your kitchen in one month. Now imagine you come back one month later and he says he needs $90,000 to install a giant hot tub in the living room, golden counter tops, Egyptian marble walls, and add a 3rd story to your house.

THAT'S how everyone is feeling like right now.

@bgranli @tester_guy Exactly. Kickstarter is just a platform for funding, and it's up to how serious or professional the developer is about the project. Tim only seems to want to create his dream game instead of sticking to a "budget." Kickstarter frees you from evil publishers, but it does not liberate you from your responsibility to stick to a pre-planned list of features and a budget.

It also bugs me that he already got another multi-million dollar Kickstarter funded.

Everyone, be prepared for Tim to come back in a few months to tell you that he ran out of money for the Massive Chalice game because that's "just how game development goes" and needs another $20 million. He will sell us concept art in exchange for $500 each to continue funding his beach hou . . . I mean, the game he promised us.

I also love how Tim doesn't sound very ashamed that he failed to create a $400,000 game with a $3.3 million budget. I detect arrogance, stubbornness, and zero remorse for loosely spending Kickstarter backers' money. His asking for more money seemed very "matter of fact" instead of humble like he should be because of his failure.

And he is making it sound like he is doing us all a favor by letting us buy the first half of the game on Steam Early Access.

Thanks, Tim. We all really appreciate your goodwill and competence!

I can't wait to play this Broken Promise game.

I mean Broken Age.

Whatever. Same meaning.

Wii U is a huge uninspired sequel to the Wii and it will probably not do very well. What's going to happen is that Nintendo will release Wii U Mario Kart, Galaxy, Kirby, Paper Mario, Zelda, Super Smash Bros., and the usual suspects to make people buy a new system to play them. After that, there won't be much 3rd party support.
