It's understandable to have reservations about Labo but if you consider the large amount of kids that assemble models, Legos and Adriuno it's not that outlandish to imagine this doing very well.

I wouldn't be quick to dismiss this idea. Kids will likely eat this stuff up and it's pretty damn creative, honestly.
@KungfuKitten:
Nothing in the announcement rules out Pokemon. To be clear I'm not predicting a Pokemon game.
@UssjTrunks:
Keeping expectations in check is for the best including negative overreactions. Techog is betting on this tanking sales forecasts by 50% which is insane.
Whatever it is I'm going all in on it being related to Pokemon.
@techhog89:
You speak as if Nintendo is dropping all game development to focus on whatever this is. I'm sure this new feature can co-exist with a steady output of quality games. Besides they've been making all the right moves this far and so saying suddenly they "don't know what they're doing" is not a sentiment with which I agree.
My best guess is some sort of Amiibo like or NFC function in which the figures can battle/interact in some manner through a Streetpass/Miiverese like app. Did Nintendo and GF not say they intend on "hyping up" Pokemon as a brand? Something like the aforementioned function would certainly fit the bill. It's also important to consider Nintendo's need to keep their audience young to ensure consumers maintain a long term relationship with the company. Get 'em young and later exploit the nostalgia.

Well maybe you're a fan of this odd and pervasive "call out" culture but it seems pretty ridiculous to me. Of course they CAN escalate this straight into the court of public opinion but should they for such a simple mistake that they themselves later corrected? Contacting them privately would likely have netted the same results. It seems reasonable to correct this issue without the (ridiculous) threat of a lawsuit.
They're probably overrated a bit. Still, it's quite reasonable to judge graphics in context of the given hardware. Nintendo seem to be very adept at balancing performance and art style, an effort that goes a long way in making their games visually appealing even if technically inferior.
