@sdoxas @MdoRandoms Not so fast, socialized medicine is practically the same as having mental institutions run the country. You may find all of this a lot less amusing when they get their way and psych treatment is standard treatment for those with the newest form of mental illness 'Violent Game Abuser.'
@AndCarlsen Probably because they have socialized medicine and therefore euthanasia...Or population control with first priority to those with minds of their own to think...Could be a number of things.
Okay, was there a mass selling of souls recently among politicians? How in the world do they expect rhetoric and reason like this to be taken seriously? This is beyond ridiculous, and ALWAYS BEAR IN MIND, I AM AGAINST VIOLENT GAMES!!
I don't remember this much of an uproar when Free Speech was attacked with things like H.R. 347 or when Freedom of Religion was pretty much dissolved this time last year...Is it just because this is a pot-shot where it hurts to this community? So the more basic infringements don't matter, not until it hits your games? This sort of mentality is why we are even having this sort of problem in the first place...Sometimes we vote with our stomachs and then our head hurts when we start getting boxed around for being stupid!
@endorbr Once we as a nation vote for completely hollow promises and elect who we did as President, we pretty much sent a message that we are willing to take A WHOLE LOT OF ABUSE.
@Spagalicious Keep in mind that this guy's views are not only arrogant but skewed, he DOES NOT represent American legislature, but he DOES represent how it is going wrong, NOT what is wrong with the original system, not anymore than violent gamers represent all gamers...
Did he say anything about a lust for power or control? That's relevant too. It's especially so since it's obvious from his condescending tone that he thinks he can just turn people's rights off like a switch. Even though violent-game gamers are largely biased and usually under the influence of the violence and it's effects on their brains, it is not only arrogant but dubious for someone to be making statements like this as if he had authority to shut off people's freedom of speech. All overreactions aside, that is what is happening here, and it is getting to be a pattern and IT and ELITISTS like this should be the one to quiet down and not have a say, they obviously lost their credibility when they try to take away basic rights...We're still human and still citizens of the United States with rights of expression and freedom to buy what we want and do with it what we want, no matter how much they would like to change that!
