My thoughts on System Wars and Fanboys...

I think that my people are a dieing race.We come from a planet were fanboys didn't exist. Were people bought a complany just because it had the best games for you.Not becasue it is being made by Microsoft,Nintendo,or Sony.

Fanboys are what gives games a bad name. You go around saying that this company is great and that this company is stupid when you cant compare other companies becasue they have their own strategys.

Its getting really bad.I remember te time when Halo 2 was announced.Sony fanboys hated  Halo and Microsoft fanboys hated GTA.Both of them were wrong. How can you even compare the two when their two different genres.

But that was years ago.Now we have the 360,PS3,and Rev.How can you say the 360 is the best system when the others arent out yet.Same goes for the PS3 and Rev fanboys. How can you say their better than te 360 and they haven't be launced.

I never go to s sytem wars thread and I frimly beleive there shouldn't be a system wars thread at all.I don't think arguing over consoles deserves it own thread.

Halo Graphic Novel

The people over at bungie are doing a graphic novel style comic with Marvel. The HGN as Bungie refers to it is a 128 page comic. It's due date is July 2006.More information can be seen  at bungie.net.

Here is the cover art:

P.S. That just inspired me to do a banner, sig, and user icon off of Halo.I'll do that a little later.

Kingdom Hearts

After a little more than 20 hours I finnaly completed Kingdom Hearts. The ending was awesome.I saw King Mickey pull out a gold keyblade and I also saw Riku and King Mickey get trapped on the other side of Kingdom Hearts.I cant wait for KH2 with it's redesigned gameplay at Overdrive abilities.

A 20 year old legend.

Twenty years ago, when the video game industry was still reeling from what has been commonly referred to as "The Video Game Crash of 1983", a small console called the Nintendo Entertainment System made a big splash.

It was October 18th, 1985, to be precise, when the NES first came to the United States. After successful trial launches in test markets in late 1985, the NES was available nationwide the following year. The system was an undeniable success, and the lack of direct competition helped to propel it and the video game market back into the limelight in both the Eastern and Western regions.

There was no denying that the NES was a phenomenon. By the 1990's one in every three American homes had an NES and video games had become a billion-dollar industry. Nintendo had taken over Saturday morning cartoons, cereal boxes, and the surface of commercial merchandise the world over. Through several different iterations, from the Japanese-exclusive Famicom Disk System to the 90's released top-loading NES, the NES dominated video game sales for nearly a decade.

Though the NES was eventually discontinued, the system lives on in the hearts and homes of many. Children of the 80's almost universally reference the console fondly, and younger video game players are reliving NES games in re-releases on the GBA, mini-games in Animal Crossing, and eventually emulation on the Nintendo Revolution.

MGS3:Subsistence

There is only one word to describe this game...wow.The game looks promising to both non-MGS fans and MGS fans alike. first off their is the retoled single player mode. The story and everything else is the same but Hideo and the team added a brand new camera. The camera is the same way as Splinter Cells. Then there is multiplayer,YES MULTIPLAYER!!!!The game supports up to 6 players with 6 game modes.Finnaly the third disc is the story of MGS3 told in a cinimatic way. I can't wait to get this game.....

Level 10

I've been a member of GameSpot since October and now I'm finnally at level 10!!!!!YAY for me.LOL.

Xbox 360

I finnaly got my hands on the 360 and let me tell you,the system is awesome. The easy user interface, the quick loading times, and the wireless controller all fit together to become the perfect gaming experience. Not to mention how you can listen to your music from either a portable device of the hardive in ANY game.I can't wait to own one......

Thoughts on 2006....

I beleive 2006 will be one of the most interesting years in video game history. Nex year Sony,Microsoft, and Nintendo's next gen system will be out on the market. Microsoft came out 1st in late '05 will a nice start in the US but a horrible start in Japan. After the launch of Ghost Recon:AW and Gears of War i beleive the sales of the 360 will go skyhigh.

Sony and Nintendo are both coming out in the spring or summer of 2006. Sony is planning to demolish the competition with blu-ray.(next gen cd-rom)The cost of blu-ray disks are cheap to make but their are no blu-ray players in the US.Sony could be planning its own failure with that move. If blu-ray is a hit(which it wil be...) Sony would be the number 1 system in the world and probably win the system war.

Last but not least is Nintendo. Nintendo had the number one handheld and console in the world for years. As of late Nintendo had been slipping. One of Nintendo's biggest problem is that it has to many systems out on the market. Nintendo has its "DS","Game boy Advance SP","Game boy micro",and the Gamecube."Way to many systems. Then Nintedo doesnt pay attention to the casual adudience. With the Revolution Nintendo is risking it all the the idea of complete control on the on-screen action. 2006 will be the year we find out if Microsoft,Nintendo,or Sony will lead the system war. By E3 2006 we all should have our minds made up of which next gen system will rule....
