It's also a textbook example of game design success, which I value more highly.

tim sweeneys graphics engine is the only reason it sold well not cliffy.b's sucky game design. first game to truly look next gen on xbox360.

cliffy.b lead designed the worst unreal game ever ''unreal championship 2''. Proof he sucks he made the dodge jumping require no practice and just ripped off digital extremes double jumping and wall jumping ideas from ut2k3.Except made it no longer take practice like double tapping the d-pad in uc1. Turned it into a sucky fighting game. unreal was always a joint venture between epicgames and digital extremes and a digital extremes guy actually was the lead designer for the original game. DE was truly the real developer. it's like idsoftware no longer making quake it's gonna suck like quake 4 when ravensoft made it.

Not asking for the worst sequels of all time. Hell, the games dont even have to be bad. Just list 3 sequels (or more if you like) that really left you feeling down about a series.

2. FFXIII

3. Mario 64

I know I'll get hate for that last one. :P

I dont think its a bad game at all, but I hated seeing Mario go 3d after amazing titles like SMB3, SMW and Yoshis Island. Everyone else loved it, but to me it was the end of Mario as I knew it.
