Since I game on PS, Xbox, and some PC, I'll criticize all three platforms.
PC- lack of good unique exclusives
Xbox Series X/S- First party launch titles being delayed, leaving us to have to wait two months to get one exclusive, and still no release dates for big games like Scorn and Halo Infinite
PS5- Same as the Xbox. Plus, I dislike the PlayStation controller layout, as well as the $70 price tag on games.
@Xplode_games: So much for being 8k capable. We knew that shit was just marketing garbage from the get go. These systems seem to be limited to running high fidelity games at 4k 60fps, and in some cases, 4k 30fps.
This is just hilarious. While I want to see both systems selling well, the taste of cows getting slapped like this after a whole generation of touting PS4 sales is so sweet.
Some reports seem to show Xbox gaining on PlayStation in sales, going from being 2 million behind to 1 million. If this trend continues, I'm going to laugh REALLY hard when the cows start blabbing about how "it's games that matter" like they did when they lost the graphics war.
And while all of that is going down, I'm going to be enjoying both systems :).
I see the cows are already coming out to attempt to control the damage. Xbox outselling PlayStation in any market? This hasn't happened since the 7th generation. What ever will they do?
This pretty damn good news for Xbox and PlayStation. This shows healthy competition is coming back between the two brands. Us gamers are in for a great generation.
GamesIndustry.biz head Christopher Dring reported the news on Twitter, saying the Xbox Series X/S was the best-selling console of January 2021. His comment suggests the number includes sales of both the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles. This would be the first month that Xbox's new console has won the sales totals, as it did not lead in either November or December 2020.
