Well, that was refreshing...

Well now. It's been two weeks since the world ended. Halo 3 is the biggest thing ever pretty much, millions of hours have already been logged in the video, dozens from myself alone. But, is it already getting old? Am I already bored?

Well, yes. And no, of course. It's fun to get online still and play with friends, but this matchmaking junk just sucks sometimes. It's so discouraging playing a few games, and getting absolutely owned in every one of them, despite your best efforts. I'm pretty tired of kids who don't know where the right trigger is.

However, there's always that occasional good streak of games you get, where you totally dominate every match. And you're always drawn back again, just in case you hit that spot of luck again.

The longest 7 Days ever. And no Halo 3 clans? WTF?!?!?!

I can't believe it's already been this long since my last blog post, the time's been screaming by, barreling towards the inevitable: the launch of one of the greatest games ever. Bar none. Well, obviously there are better, more innovative, more creative, more immersive games, and there will be many more to come. However, in recent years, as far as FPS games goes, Halo has been one of those series that remains un-topped, as far as a first person, ACTION shooter goes. I'm really excited for it, and 3 of my best buddies all haveLive, so when the 25th hits, we'll be online, owning some Covenant head. Hell's yes!

So, recent findings have confirmed my fears for no clan support. Hopefully, the matchmaking they've set up with just be a continuation of Halo 2, because all I enjoy anymore is Team SWAT. Me and my friends all played games with no shields and no radar for like, a year and a half straight, every single night, over a local system link. We all got pretty good at it, too. It's a fun game type. Check it out sometime.

And wtf is up with this "BELIEVE" campaign for the Big H3? I'm not really quite sure what to make of it, but in either case, it's getting me pretty riveted for Halo 3's campaign.

God, I can't wait.

The Longest 26 Days Ever. And Halo 3 Clans.

So, just the other day,one of my best friends decided he was too excited for Halo 3 to wait to get an Xbox 360. So, now, there's 4 of us in my group of friends who have a 360, and who will be able to play through the game on launch day. What's more, I'm also saving up for a new Sony Bravia to replace the old Sony WEGA I'm using now, and he's willing to buy that off me, so me and him will both be playing in HD on lauch (hopfully). The only hitch is that I may end up having to ask my parents for a little "loan" of sorts, I'll only need a couple hundred anyway, and they know I can pay it off no problem. That being said, it's going to be a long, LONG month.

I've got to try and play more Halo 2, get myself back into shape for the big H3. There was a period of about a year, during high school (we graduated in '04) where we played Halo 1 over system-link EVERY SINGLE NIGHT, for just over an entire year. Needless to say, we all got really ridiculous, but that was a while ago and we're all rusty. Gotta shake the cobwebs off.

On top of that, has anyone heard anything about the Clan/Faction thing with Halo 3, if they're doing it at all? Thanks in advance.

Premium.

Decided to go with the premium instead, opting for the newer tech in those that keeps them from breaking more often than the stuff in the Elite. Not that anyone even reads this.

BTW, I WAS pissed about Microsoft doing the whole, "we'll fix it for free thing" like, a day afterI got mine back, but the wait has been pushed back to about 6 - 8 weeks, so... Sucks for them...

Oh, on a stranger note, I kind of decided today that I'm really more like a hardcore casual than an actual hardcore gamer. I only buy the big titles, don't waste time with the ones that suck... Maybe I'm a douche bag...

Elite.

I dunno, some kid is offering to buy my 360, ever since I t old him I was considering upgrading to an Elite. Has anyone else made the upgrade? Any suggestions or advice on the matter?

I've got the Broken 360 Blues...

A few weeks back, at the beginning of June, I got the red ring of death. Few days later, called the support line, gave them the info, tried to troubleshoot. Nothing worked. So, then the guy tells me my Box is LITERALLY just two weeks out of warranty, and that I'll have to pay $140 to have it repaired.

WHAT?!?!

Come on, man, I already forked over hundreds of dollars, why can't Microsoft manufacture something that WORKS?! That's not to say they're the only ones who manufacture stuff that breaks, but if my PS3 breaks or my Wii breaks down, I'm not paying another $140 to have it fixed! It's effin BS! Absolutely absurd. I paid good money for something, expecting it to work. Microsoft has BALLS asking for the repair fee.

In fact, I'm so pissed off over this, that I challenge J Allard and Bill Gates to fisticuffs, and if I win, I get my $140 back. That's allI want. I feel it's absolutely unfair to charge kids money to repair something that Microsoft FAILED TO MANUFACTURE CORRECTLY IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!

So, there it is. There's the challenge. Anytime they wanna throw down, I'll be ready.

As a side note, I think I'm getting my box back today, andI can't wait to have it!

PSN IDs.

If anyone wants to add me to their PSN List or anything, my PSN is: theGrynch. At least, I think so.

I got one...!!!

IĀ got a PS3. Simple as that. Just one, Sony. Only one. I didn't feel like that's too much to ask. Turns out I was right!
