@jwsoul Connectivity depends on a lot of factors -- where you live, the service you use to connect, the setup in your home, etc. So what plays well for one gamer may stink for another.

@Gojomez "...all the good players are still on XBL."

That's not a trivial point. My previous nightclub comment is way off the page now, but consider this: Would you rather go to a club with no cover charge, an unreliable sound system, and a few people standing around in the corners or a club that's full of hot chicks but costs $20 to get in?

XBL still sells because some people think it's worth paying for.

@larkin-54 @Ghostdog201 @megakick I like the idea that people who make a good product should be compensated for their time and talents. Thank you, free enterprise.

But when I take something that no longer has value to me and sell it to someone else, I shouldn't owe anybody for making that sale.

Yes, I want game makers to thrive, but I want them to do it by innovating and bringing us phenomenal games that we just can't part ways with. I don't want them to do it by bitching and whining and trying to shut down third-party used game sales in any way.

@FoxExecutive But I don't want either of those things. I want a compact vehicle that fits into tight parking spots in the city and the subcompact parking space at the condo.

Before this analogy breaks down completely, let me just say that I'm glad the free online gameplay and 3D worked for you, but they don't do so much for me. Most of my friends and the games we play are on the XBOX 360, and that's where I want to be. The cost of XBOX Live Gold isn't a deterrent to me for a service that I enjoy.

@FoxExecutive A person's preferences may be completely different, so they may reach completely different conclusions. You may drive a great truck, for example, but if I don't have need for a truck, then you're probably not going to be able to convince me to get one.

If somebody decides that the games they want or the gamers they want to play with are on the 360 or that the price is better, then that's probably what they'll get.

@rugripper40 @kljvoph @FoxExecutive I believe he's referring to this: http://www.gamespot.com/news/skyrim-dawnguard-dlc-may-never-come-to-ps3-6394066

I still don't know if the expansions made it to the PS3 or not yet...I'm sure someone around here will let us know if they have.

@raydawg2000 And you enjoy tipping every person in the retail chain since the origination of whatever products you buy. Thanks for keeping those game publishers rolling in money they didn't earn.

@raydawg2000 @landfill_dump Yes, I am. Now you're beginning to understand the type of person I am. :-)

@raydawg2000 @landfill_dump I was actually trying not to sound like one of those people who buys three copies of a movie because different members of his family want to see it. That's the type of person I'm not.

And your "cleaning supplies" point still doesn't lead to profit for the original manufacturer of the clothes.
