This reminds me that I really need to finish all of the campaigns in CoH: Anthology. Anyhow, I would love to see CoH2 with about 6 armies and a metamap campaign (a la Total War games) that allow you to play through the war as any side.
I'll stick with single-player RPGs, but good luck to Bethesda on this--especially their Q&A department which has never been up to snuff even on single-player releases.
"Just make a good game that will last for more than 2 days. Create an incentive for me to want to hold on to the game and not sell it soon as I beat it and used will only be a problem for bad developers. Oh wait..." ^What he said. Also, as the article stated, the used game market is healthy for the industry and for consumers. If it gets cut out, either prices for new games will have to decrease or publishers will have to face a customer base that is not willing to pay $60 for a game that is not worth it in the first place and cannot be resold to recoup some of the loss.
It was wrong for this woman to be subjected to this kind of personal attack. There is no excuse for it whatsoever. However, I am all for players letting their opinions be known about games and developers. If you are going to ask gamers to pay $60 for a game, you had better listen to what gamer preferences are. Especially in this day of ridiculous DRM, endless streams of paid DLC, and buggy releases, gamers have really tolerated some poor service from the video game industry in recent years.
Any DRM system that (1) includes limited installs, (2) kills the resale potential of a used game, or (3) requires access to the internet even for the single-player mode is just wrong to me. I can deal with disc checks and entering product keys. All this other stuff, like required internet access and 3rd-party DRM accounts, is nonsense.
