Gaming PC's are usually more expensive initally than consoles, no point arguing that. However you will spend less money gaming on PC over the long run than you will on consoles so it evens out.

I agree that if you're going to do it, do it right. Spend more initially and get a great system to save yourself from pricey upgrades.

Honestly I haven't played it but the consensus is that it's worse than UC2 which I thought was pretty terrible.

Gameplay over cinamatics please.

Need this for SW (and OT apparently), not every forum though for obvious reasons.

Steam used to download really fast for me, I used to get 3MB/s... these days I'm lucky to get 1MB/s. Maybe it's just being used more?

Origin is like lightning, Steam is still better overall though.

Just going through my games on Steam

226 games in my library (give or take a couple for mods)

89 are exclusive in the list.

plus I found another 15 boxed copies of exclusive PC games just then at a glance.

EDIT: Didn't see the "retail release only" part.... Seems like a cunning ploy to even the playing field.

I really liked the pacing in the game, in fact I would say it's one of the better parts of the game.

FPS games these days lack decent pacing, it's just clear enemies... move to next area and do the same. I get really burnt out on that sort of stuff super quickly.

In Half-Life 2 you had to solve puzzles, platform and travel between fights as well as the steady stream of new gameplay elements being introduced like gravity gun, antlions, vehicles and squads.

Gosh just talking about it makes me want to play.

Everything in that video is way out of date.

The only thing the PC does better is games for various reasons.

HalcyonScarlet

And the only thing Mac does better is...........

............

I thought it was really fun... though it does start to wear on you after a while.

Solid game.

[QUOTE="Inconsistancy"][QUOTE="Pug-Nasty"]

To think just how awful PCs were when this video was made.

SPYDER0416

WinXP? Guy above said 5 years ago... It was ugly, but it didn't suck, and I could play games on it.

XP wasn't so bad.

Now Vista... I shudder at the thought of it.

Once Vista got updated it was fine.

I went from XP SP3 to Vista SP1 and found it to be a lot better.

It was a lot faster and had DX10+ support, I never got why people clung on to XP so badly... it's not that good at all.
