First off, I forgot to include Far Cry 3 in my last post of games I was most excited about. It looks absolutely filthy good, a lot better than Far Cry 2. Although the story was there in 2 I could never get into the game because of the difficulty level of the roaming patrol jeeps and how they would shoot on site, it sacrificed the flow of the game.

Now onto my post for today. This weekend I thought it was gonna be an uneventful snooze-fest in the gaming world then I found out Mine-Con was on!? Son of a hooker I shoulda stocked up on beers and crackers earlier.

Like a lot of people, I doubted Minecraft when it was first released, I saw people play it, just wasted interested. But then it hit the Xbox.. thats all she wrote. I downloaded it and was instantly hooked spending unrelentless hours in my neighbors basement plugging away on various tasks and I will never judge a game like this on its graphics ever again.

Since I am strictly an Xbox Minecraft player, that component of Minecon will be the one I am most looking forward too. I would really like to see the Xbox installment pull close or even with the PC version and while I know its a lot to ask for why not shoot high and accept any improvements that are given at this time.

Hopefully all the Minecraft fans old and young alike will tune in for at least part of the Minecon stream to see what Mojang can come up with next .

Finally found the time to get back on here and sort my disaster of a profile out. I figure its a month before Christmas so why not drop another pre Christmas prepper. Black Ops 2, Halo 4, Assasins Creed 3 and FIFA/NHL/NBA 13 are out already and have raped the pre christmas market hard. I choose to avoid the hype and see what I can't scrape up through the Christmas Spirit. On the top of my list are FIFA 13, Resident Evil 6 and Assasins Creed 3. Black Ops 2 is overhyped as usual so I'll let that go a little while longer and I've never been able to get into the spirit of playing Halo religiously, possibly because I never had an original Xbox but whatever it didnt make the cut.

I didnt get all jumpy like I usually do around Christmas this year, maybe because we've been spoiled with all kinds of good stuff in the past and we're rolling into almost 7 years of this generation of gaming. Regardless of anything it'll be another good year.

Remember to game hard, get drunk with your families and if you catch Santa, please steal his jew magic. I havent had a chimney for 21 years and he still manages to get in.

As much of you dont care i am still alive and have come to a realization... compared to last generation gaming this generation is unreal. I played the first Splinter Cell over again recently and after playing Conviction demo i was astounded at the differences. The fluency of control is much more improved and everything seems more natural. SOCOM for the PS2 is still one of the most graphically sound games ever made so im stoked to see what it will look like on the PS3 when SOCOM 4 is released. I have also decided that in college i do not game as much as i should so i need to improve my Call Of Duty skills so 12 year olds will stopchirping me out over Live. I ve also rekindled my addiction for beer, energy drinks so gaming is either becoming more entertaining in short periods or longer sessions til 6am which is entertaining in its own right. This blog post I leave you one thing... The discovery channel is hilarious at 4am as is everything else in life, you dont beleve me? then try it.

Man i havent blogged on here in forverrr... but ive had quite the busy months with college partying and whatnot. Well anyhow im looking at the Holiday 09 game linup and it is looking solid with marquee titles COD Modern Warfare 2 and Assasins Creed 2 and Left For Dead 2 and of course DJ and Band Heroalong with some other titles released a bit earlier like NHL 10 and Prototype this lineup is one of the best ive seen. There were some rumours of Bioshock 2 being released but i dont think that is gonna happen now. That certainly would have bolstered the linup but not a big deal im sure this christmas will be as good as any. So have a great one and ill try to blog again in 2010 after the hangovers wear off and everything has been completed so have a good one!

So i've just finshed the campaign in RE5 and i have to say that it had me zoned out of life for the entire thing, i played it non stop and im the first to admit i have a Resi addiction since RE4 (which i put about 40 hours into) RE5 takes what RE4 did right and added to it with improved visuals and enemy movement, the characters are great and it is one of the easiest 1000 gamerscore you can get. This is my game of the year so far and its only March.

5.SOCOM US Navy SEALS 2 (PS2) By far the best PS2 exclusive game out there SOCOM 2 took what 1 did good and built on that.

4.Grand Theft Auto 3 (PS2) Foundation of Rockstars GTA series and the starting point of my GTA experience which i still play today.

3.Call Of Duty 4 (Xbox 360) Revolutionized online play people will be playing this game for years to come, the great campaign and awesome online make it an instant favourite.

2.Gears Of War (Xbox 360) Revolutionary graphics which raised the bar of next gen graphics along with kick ass characters this game is number 2.

1.Resident Evil 4 (PS2) I got drawn into this game like no other i could not stop playing it the story, drama and sweet action make it a perfect 10 and number 1 on my list.

One of my personal most anticipated games of 08 has come throgh i didnt pick up Dark Sector until August but it was definitly was worth the money. This game has so much in it and although a lack of story does bring it down a bit it still rocks. Another thing I want to talk about is the fact that the Guitar Hero World Tour Setlist does not compete with Rock Band 2's. So hopefully GH fans will be treated to new downloadable content to make the setlist which looks weak in parts a bit stronger. I will probably buy both games but there is a good chance i will play Rock Band 2 more.

Ok I know what your thinking oh Halo 3 is a great innovative game with its 4 player split screen and its online beats anything. Well your wrong. Halo 3 has a satisfying online but it just seems to be missing something i cant quite put my finger on but its just missing something. I've read some crap reviews that knock on great games like Call Of Duty because they dont have 4 player co-op. Honestly 4 player co-op campaign is a terrible idea.. if you want to play with friends then play online.. even worse achivements for single player missions are still given out for co-op completions. And an online couch.. ha.. screw off that is a stupid concept it makes no sense at all. If your online screen is split up it takes away the elements of online and gives you less to look at.

I dont own halo 3 but when i had it i was not impressed by anything because it did nothing new and exciting. Wow Halo 3 looks like Halo 2 with mildly better graphics and sound. say that last sentance to yourself and you will realize that it is the trruth. Now comparing Halo 3 to Call of Duty 4 is not right because they are very different games. But Call Of Duty 4 brought something new and exciting to the gaming world and it is deserving of all its praise despite all defiers (mainly Halo fanboys) Call of Duty 4 is not overrated at all and saying otherwise is ridiculous .

Well another year another E3 full of great expectations and previews. Finally we get to see some of the most anticipated games of the year in action. Bethesda definitly turned some heads with Fallout 3 and with great showings from Capcom and of course Epic this year and even into next is looking good for gaming. PS3 owners arn't getting screwed over too bad with the only announced exclusive worth anything being Gears of War 2 which makes this year very balenced between the two. Wii.... umm you cant handle any of our big manly games so have fun trying to keep up.

Well my 360 got the Rings... yah after only 8 months it got the red rings of death. I dont think there could be a worst time either.. new games like Dark Sector and Army Of 2 with GTA 4 right around the corner i hope i get my new 360 from microsoft soon because i cant take no Dark Sector for much longer
