Yes! Finally! I resigned from 7 unions today. I'm so happy GS finally fixed the glitch.

How Club Whatever Came to Be
by theeman2000 on Comments
I decided to make a new topic about how Club Whatever came to be. A little background story if you will, about how Club Whatever was thought up and formed.
Mid May 2007 - My friend and I get an idea to create a webcast called the ShowShow (lame title I know. ). Anyway, we wanted to model it after On the Spot, and we anted to produce it biweekly. I thought the best site to upload these vids to would be Gamespot. He agrees, and we both use our GS profiles. I had joined GS in 2005, but I only used my profile to learn about games and stuff. I didn't have a single blog or forum post until this time.
So me and my friend begin to post our idea in various forums, and on our blogs (most of it violated TOS. ) in order to gain some support for our show. Unfortunately, we came up empty. It was also then that I learned about what Unions were, and I thought it would be a good idea to post our show in our own union, so that we could take feedback and suggestions.
May 20th, 2007 - I join my first union, called This is not a Union (TINAU). In TINAU I was impressed by how an off-topic union ran, and that was where I got my first inspiration to start my own Off-Topic union.
May 24th, 2007 - I become Co-founder of the Game Development Union. It is lead by just4yoshi. In this union, I learn some of the ins and outs of recruiting, and I posted a lot. I also acquainted myself with the Gamespot Union Recruitment Forum.
May 30th - June 2nd - This date is arbitrary. I make my first attempt at starting Club Random (as I had originally called it.) Unfortunately, that name was taken so I tried "Club Whatever." I sent out 4 invites, and after 3 weeks, I only got 2 to join as charter members, so I abandoned it and started over.
June 11th -I tried the Union Recruitment Forum, I tried posting in my blog, I even posted about it in TINAU (which is a no-no by the way. ). Finally, I decided to break the rules, and abuse my officership and The Game Development Union. I sent out a telegram to all members, which was total abuse of my power.
June 12th - The next day, I got about 5 responses, along with one more in the recruitment forum. With 6 charter members, I created the union again, this time under the name "The Club Whatever Union." about 3 hours later, with 4 members joining: djmarky, atomicduck331, mattdagamer, and GabuEx, Club Whatever was formed.
The end. Any questions?

I'm an image hog. Ever since I started my photobucket account I've uploaded any image I like on GS, so I can have it al in one place for possible future use. I take avatarsI like, userbars I like, sigs I like. I took this one from alz619. It was his avy about 1 month or more ago, and I liked it, so it will be my new avy for the time being.
Level 19 + 2000 posts + 10000 tags + 50 blog posts
by theeman2000 on Comments
I call this my quad celebration, so I'll start with becoming level 19. I will hopefully get through this one quickly, so I can start the long trudge through the Metal Slime. But today I'm a Gitaroo Man.
2000 posts: I've become more active on boards, so I hope to reach 3000 sooner.
10000 tags: I've really taken a liking to tagging unions, topics, and blog posts. I'm now 11th on the list of total tags.
50 blog posts: Yeah, 50 blog posts. nothing real special here.
