I'm hunting down the full libraries for the NES, SNES, and Sega Masters. I was shocked when I realized there were so many titles in these libraries, but even more shocked when I realized that I had actually played most of them. For me it is bringing back my childhood and hopefully playing the games with my kids some day.

Other systems get collected on because I want to play the games or because they were given to me.

You've played a majority of all ~1500 games? That's pretty good.

Umm...yeah. I was a bit of a nerd and had no life back when I was in middle schol and high school. I couldn't rattle off all the names, but when I start popping the games in the systems I'm like, "Oh, I remember playing this. I never really owned them. My friends and I traded around quite a bit and rented a bunch as well.

Fulltime job here.

Family, bills, and such has really limited my purchases. I was buying up games like mad when I was buying and selling video games on ebay. I think I need to get back into that. I've got an itch to work on my NES collection and really go after the Sega Masters.

Wonder why it took so long for my wife to finally get fed up and get rid of all my stuff...

:P

I echo this. Too funny.

My assumption would be that one of my friends was playing a joke on me and I would just need to find out who the culprit was. And then the paybacks would begin.

Keep going.

I like getting the latest system that comes out. It's the video game junkie in me.

As far as cost goes, there are plenty of games I'd like to add to my collection that cost just as much and way more than a 360 game or a console. Some day I will own you "Peek a boo Poker", "Hot Slots", and "Bubble Bath Babes".

I'm not into collecting the whole library in the new systems as much, but I do buy specific titles that are fun, or challenging, or that all my friends are playing. It's going to take me some time to build up those old collections and not many of my local friends play the old stuff. So in the mean time, bring on the new stuff...as long as its good.

Does anyone know where to find lists of system specific games?

There are so many games that were made for multiple systems that it is hard to keep track of them all. I want to buy games that were made exclusively for GC or PS2 or Xbox.

Any ideas?

I've never seen anyone else who knew about zebraheadwaflerevolution

A fellow Zebrahead fan?

I've been there from the beginning.

They put on a pretty fun concert.

I pretty much listen to all kinds of music. It just depends on my mood. We have launchcast radio at work, which is through yahoo, and you can listen to any genre and mood that you'd like.

I tend to lean towards bands that combine genres.

My favorites are 311, Zebrahead, and Reel Big Fish.

[QUOTE="thegroove13"]I picked up these games over the weekend during Gamestops buy 2 get 1 free sale. The Dreamcast stuff was buy 1 get 2 free.

Dreamcast:
Rayman 2
Alien Front Online
Railroad Tycoon
Generator Volume 1
Generator Volume 2

Gamecube:
Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron II
Space Raiders
P.N.03
Starfox Adventures
F-Zero GX

Xbox:
Unreal Championship
Hunter the Reckoning
Wolverine's Revenge
Magic the Gathering: Battlegrounds

I got all this for under $80
guinness4life

Rayman 2 (DC) is a pretty decent find. It's also the only game there I'd ever considered purchasing besides Hunter (which I already own).

I could see someone buying F-Zero, Magic and Star Fox Adventures (*cough* zelda:OoT *cough*) too if you're into their respective genres (I can't say I am). But Wolverine's Revenge, PN 03, Generator, a console port of Railroad Tycoon?

Space Raiders made most critics "worst of" list. It is rare though, so if you were a diehard collector, who collected things based on rarity rather than quality or just really, really liked space invaders, I could see buying it. I wouldn't though.

Quality, not quantity.

My sega gen/CD for 12USD still has you beat. ;)

I guess I collect more quantity rather than quality. I'm working on a complete US Release Dreamcast list, so that's why the Railroad Tycoon and the Generator games. I'm also trying to get a hold of all of console specific games like PN03 and Space Raiders. I guess I just like adding games to my collection when there is a sale, even if they aren't all that great of games.

I don't have any time to play games either. Sometimes I feel stupid buying more games when I can't play the ones that I have, but then the collector comes out in me and I buy it anyway.

I really wish I had more time to play, I have some great games that I haven't spent any time with and I really want to get into those games.

Sub-Zero82

I'm with you there. I used to be a big RPG fan, but I can't commit the time to work through one. I'll get part way through and then have to put the game down for a bit and then when I get to playing again I forget most of what I've already done. It's a bummer, because there are so many good RPG's I'd like to play through.
