Beginning to really appreciate onlive. Specially since I havent had my desktop for a couple months and probably wont for anohter month or so. I'm in new york city so internet options are great, letting me play games on my tablet and netbook and look rather good. not high end pc quality but console quality.

anyone else been pleasantly surprised by onlive?

I just moved recently from Canada to US. Didn't bring my desktop with me and so ive been without that for about 2 months. I needed some sort of pc (other than tablet) so i brought an old hp netbook my bro used to have that i repaired for him.

then i found onlive. I pay $9.99 a month and have access to a 100 or so games, which are fairly new in this thing called the playback bundle. the internet connection is pretty good so I can play all kinds of games very nicely. cheap solution til i get my pc back. it also has new games but ofcourse they cost the price of new games.

anyway point is, you cant do much about the hardware but this is where onlive really, really shines and im beginning to really appreciate that it exists.

Well firstly assuming you live in US?

And what settings do you want to play games on without updating for a while? What components do you need? If you need everything, including monitor, windows, etc then might be difficult to do that with you not having to update anything for a while. Perhaps in that case if you are ok with playing games on low then it could be possible. again thats if you dont update for a while.

I'm thinking of buying speakers for my computer. About $400 I want to spend on these. I'm wondering if you guys can tell me if 5.1 would be better or 2.1? I've heard I can get really good quality 2.1 for that and not so good quality 5.1 (logitech Z5500). But, can you tell me why I should go with 1 over the other?

What would $400 5.1 have that would be worth it, and what would $400 2.1 have that would make them worth getting over the 5.1 with a loss of surround sound?

You all suck :( Ive had it since 11/11 but was only able to play for 6 hours or so as I moved from Canada to US and didn't bring my desktop with me. When I go back in december to get it... ooh it'll be good.

Haha I remember that game, my first set of virtual boobies where seen in that game! Good lord does it brink back childhood memories! Think ill dig up my copy from where ever it is later tomorow! Game was awesome from what I remember!
