@blackace @Messenger360p I think he meant that the people are going to try to auction off XB1s because they didn't like the system and don't want them.

Sorry that went over your head.

@DrogosIronfistcg "I don't mind item trade between players, but simply buying stuff that is uber is lame. All uber gear should be earned." It is earned. Whoever initially found the item took a great deal of time to acquire it. And if they consciously sell it to another player, it is to their benefit/detriment as they lose personal ownership of the item as part of the exchange. If it's an issue for some people in PvP, keep in mind that if the buyer didn't purchase the item, the seller would still have the item to use and fight others - so either way, the 'don't-haves' lose out. But, hey, that's the price of not spending the time as the first player did to get the item. Or spending a price for another player's hard-earned item. These people can't get their money/time back.

God dang it, you people should take a class on basic microeconomics. This auction house is a good thing!! Even with Chinese gold farmers. Why? Buy low, sell high - basic concept. When items are cheap, you buy them. When items are expensive, you sell them. Watch the trends and stop freaking out when prices drop b/c of supply exceeding demand - that's a good thing. It means you can buy more of that item to sell it when the price stabilizes and rises again. Price doesn't matter - trends matter. Delta price over time is what determine the success of a sell or a buy. As for the gear that can be gathered either with a significant time investment or a significant price investment? That's opportunity cost. The acquirer loses out on their money or time that they can't get back for other things. Blizzard isn't going to be feeding items into the item auction as well, so items are finite, and a person who willingly sells the item in question loses that opportunity to use it. Don't like it? Don't use it. You can (and sometimes should) buy and sell your items in-town. If you're participating in the auction house, you should have full awareness of the risks and fees involved before doing so. And if you're not going to participate, don't complain about it. Other people want to use this thing, and this gives them an opportunity to use it outside of questionable third-party solutions.

In my opinion, it was a rough start for both the X360 and the PS3, but right now, it's too early to tell. Currently, however, I'm leaning more towards the 360. The 360 has a solid lead on Sony, and save for FF and MGS, sony has lost almost all of its exclusivity rights. Its 5-year contract w/ Rockstar's GTA series (one of the forefront exclusives in the PS2 lineup) has since expired, which is a heavy blow to Sony. Also, let's say maybe Sony does come back with a whopper lineup of hard hitting games, and their sales, quality, fanbase, everything increases exponentially (except cost. cost is bad ;P). Who's to say Microsoft might not improve just as exponentially? Eventually, if sony can't overcome Microsoft's 1+ year head start in Generation 8, any improvements they make will become a moot point. Suffice to say, it still looks bad for Sony I'm not going to count them out just yet, though. Sony has developed a reputation as the ultimate gaming underdog. I mean, these guys came out of nowhere and wrenched more than half of the gaming market from Nintendo and Sega (now 1st-party defunct). Even if Microsoft casts them down into an emo pit of eternal solitude, Sony will find a way back to the top.

I just wish that they'd put out more actiony games. Mahjong and 80,000 different variations of card games are just going to put me to sleep. The chess looks interesting tho.
