It's wrong because society deems it wrong. Society deems it wrong because it only held back society in the past, basically it's us learning from our mistakes. If we go back to the wild wild west (using example) we will get no where, so you implement law and other controls as well as teaching feature generations it is wrong.

Think about it this way. Humans are a social animal, we really on numbers and communities since the dawn of our existence. Disrupting a community can only be detrimental to all as well as yourself, so it is deemed wrong to do so.

You made so many baseless claims here, I have alot of questions for you now: 1. how did it hold society back in the past? 2. wtf is the Wild Wild West, that movie with Will Smith? 3. Humans may be a social animal, but so are craploads of other animals, but its okay to kill them. And what does social have to do with right to life? I'm sure tons of us gamespotters are anti-social as all hell, so should we kill them?

The only justification I can come up with is that ending sentient life is wrong. This also applies to animals though, because I believe animals are just as "self-aware" as us. Just because we create a moral norm as a society, it doesn't mean that it is absolute or truth. Its all about morals

The question is: why is ending sentient life wrong. Not, is it wrong? Actually, what is wrong?

i bought two copies of Haze, because I literally played it so much that the disc caught fire. And to put it out I had to use my hammer. So then I bought a new Ps3 and a new copy of Haze.

I just looked at the contributor lineup on the website, and I was thinking about some stuff that might be mentioned that hasn't been yet.

Here's my predictions:

1)Persona 5

2)Elder Scrolls 5

3)Resident Evil 6

What are your predictions, GS?

Bioshock 2, imo, is head and shoulders above Bioshock , just because of the improved mechanics and multiplayer. The story, honestly, is just as good as Bioshock 1, but it lacks that "freshness" that the first one had. Still, at 8 hours, idk if its worth the 60. I got it on release day and I sort of regret it. I beat it in two days, played mp for a week then moved on to UC2, then FFXIII, then GoW3, and between those I haven't had time to go back to it.

[QUOTE="themountaindew"]

Hi, I'm a 22 year old philosophy major at the University of Michigan, and I, for the life of me, even with all the know how behind philosophy and what not, cannot figure out why it is considered "wrong" to kill another human. I mean, humans kill animals, and they're practically human, so why can't we kill humans, who are practically animals?

If atheism is true then you are right.

Actually atheism in no way implies a lack of morality. If anything it shows that morality can and does exist without a god, i.e. that God is unnecessary at best.

because Sam Raimi is too sexually aroused by Tobey Maguire and Bruce Campbell is too busy being old on Burn Notice. ;)
