So what connection does this have to the established Resident Evil lore? I always thought that giving the spotlight in the main series to a story that has no connections to the previous games was really weird (Especially given the gigantic scale of previous games), so is there anything here that can convincingly connect it with the RE continuity? Capcom specifically said that the old RE games still count and none of them have been erased from this game's universe, so what gives?

That never entered my mind for a second. I'd never expect narrative consistency from a series so devoid of literary merit hahahha. If the lack of obvious connection to the series' "lore" is your barrier to entry, you probably weren't that interested in what you saw in the first place.

Naw, I'm already waiting on the game to arrive at my place. More curiosity than anything. RE's stories have never been good, more expecting what kind of explanation could they pull off that can convincingly justify putting this story under the same limelight as the originals.

Paris Is Burning ---

Documentary regarding ball sub-culture within the queer community. Surprisingly effective and understated - There aren't many cloying "YASSS SLAY" moments, it's all mostly matter of fact but it's entertaining thanks to the personalities of the people involved, and very interesting to me personally as a bisexual latino.

"THE LAST JEDI is written and directed by Rian Johnson". I don't know about this. A lot seems to be riding on this fairly untested guy. Where as Force Awaken and Rogue One were directed and written by significantly more experienced veterans in the industry.

I'm sure Disney signed off on the script after making sure it was up to par. It is weird though when I look at his IMDB page why they would give him the directors chair. Only three movies to his name, and 4 episodes of tv. Looper is the only thing I've seen of his which was really good to be fair. They must have seen something decent about him.

All of his films are good to great, and his episodes of Breaking Bad were among the very best in the whole series which is a huge accomplishment.

Whatever the quality, he's a hell of a lot more adventurous and less of a fanboy than J.J. Abrams that's for sure, so in any case it should at least one of the series' more interesting outings if nothing else.

I can't tell which is worse, these so called "SJW" assholes, the assholes that constantly complain about them, or the idiots that have the make the obligatory "complain about the complainers" comment.

Next it'll become so routine that we'll get people complaining about the people complaining about the people complaining about the complainers. We'll be on the next level.

Bottom line: Everyone complains about something or another.

Yes. Though, well, I think everyone can agree that the chick in this video is an idiot, and I certainly agree she deserves no attention, but if you (not specifically you, I mean in general) think so as well you could do the logical thing and you know... Not comment. Or even bothere reading the article really, because no one's forcing you. But no, you just HAVE to let everyone know how neutral and above the whole conflict you are!

Bitching about how people are having a pointless discussion is always 10 times more pointless.

It depends? It mostly depends on how hype I am over it. I'm a pretty laid back person regularly so usually it's no more than maybe buying myself something or doing *stuff* with my girlfriend or smoking weed (or all three). Sometimes though if I'm really excited over it I'll call up friends/bae and we'll go downtown together for some shenanigans, on top of the three things I mentioned before.

When we all lived near each other my friends and I used to celebrate everything by smoking weed all day. Fun times.

Movies no, I don't watch very many movies. Games yes, when I can, which isn't very often because it's too expensive where I live.

I mostly collect music merch - I have tons of artist-branded shirts and I always try to get physical copies of albums.
