I have really enjoyed Capaldi's Doctor and his first season was very enjoyable, but this season has been pretty bad, in my opinion. Every episode this year has been a two-part episode; so, you know in each episode that NOTHING is going to really happen in the first part. They just boringly go along until they reveal some twist at the end of the first part that you know will easily get resolved by whatever dumb plot device at the end of part two. Plus, the direction of the characters this season has been bad. I feel like they have gone back more to the preachy, campy tricks they had more under Matt Smith, as well. I'm sure that some people have enjoyed this season, but I haven't.
@sirdukefillion: Maybe. It's hard to imagine these movies continuing past that point, but I suppose if they're still making the money they are now and the actors sign up it's possible.
Amiibo was a smart idea by Nintendo. Because they appeal to children as toys/add-ons and as adults as collectibles/add-ons they have a large market. I think keeping the supply lower than the demand, although frustrating to the consumer, has also been a smart idea because it makes them more of commodity. It's also just a good way to convince people to buy DLC.
I was hoping for a Planet Hulk movie or maybe having him in a Guardians of the Galaxy movie using elements from Planet Hulk. Still, it will be nice to have him in another movie outside of The Avengers.
@MJV1989: I had a feeling that was how it would be. I remember reading some interviews with Daniel Craig before production even started that he had hoped the franchise would return more to its roots. Skyfall was so good that I know it would have been hard to top or even match it, but I at least wanted a movie with the same tone.
@suicidesn0wman: Oh, you're definitely right. I still think it's funny when these companies tout the third party releases as if they own them. In Xbox One's case, I think if they wanted to even get competitive with PS4 they should focus a lot on more on what's exclusive to their console, and even find new games or features to convince people to buy an X1. Like you and others have said, though, it's just typical modern marketing.
