I also think that anytime you're going to create a thread and be in control of choosing the title, you need to standardize it to the dumbest of readers, not to the smartest ones; I say this because that is how you end up with a lot of angry (and stupidity derived) comments!
Yeah, I saw the title of this thread and immediately thought you had heard something about the Red Dead Revolver/Redemption franchise being stopped, so I clicked. It is misleading.
A few people have said it already, but I have to reiterate that the best way to go is to invest a chunk of change in any Turtle Beach model. I use the X31 Wireless headset, and I have never had any difficulties. They are %100 percent worth it - though if you do consider getting a pair, go for the wired ones that don't drain batteries ;)
Actually, just to clarify, the in-game charts/stats are very misleading. FMJ, while there is a small boost in damage in the in-game chart, is truly only symbolic, by this i mean that the bullet will retain a multiplier after passing through a wall closer to the multiplier before passing through the wall. Stopping power is %100 the only thing that can actually add damage, and it does this by increasing the multipliers to different parts of the body. I could go find an actual chart with the real data somewhere, but I'm feeling a little too lazy, so please take my word for it. I absolutely guarantee I am right. You might also notice that the FAMAS has very little "damage" according the in-game chart, but I think we all know it kills as easily as an M16A4, which has a very high "damage" amount according to the in-game stats. (Not looking at the game now, but I'm pretty sure I remember noticing that.)
I wish I could, but I don't own this game (yet). I've played it before with my cousin, and I was really impressed. I'll let you know if I pick it up sometime soon.
Actually, I have the new 4GB Xbox. The reasons I got it were the price, the fact that I don't need the space aside from saving games, and the odd map pack or two. There are supposedly going to be independent hard drives for sale in the future, so I'm not really worried about it.
