Do you want a good single player experience or multiplayer experience??

If you don't have The Orange Box, I would suggest that. It includes 5 games in one, and i think it only costs like 19.99 or something crazy like that now. Included in the orange box is Half Life 2 (One of the top FPS's of all time, back in the day), accompanying episodes 1 and 2, Portals (the sweetest game alive), and Team Fortress 2 (in my opinion, one of the most fun multiplayer experiences).

I'm no expert. But the maps you downloaded should just be on your hard drive. It shouldn't have anything to do with your gamertag

I recently made a new gamtertag for my friend, but now everytime I start up my xbox, it automatically signs his name in first. How can I set it so my main xbox live gamertag automatically logs on? Is it possible? Or do I have to manually sign off his and manually sign onto my xbox live account everytime?

It's wierd. NBA 2k8 seems like the only game that actually makes me mad when I lose. Nothing uncontrolable, I just get irked. But it's just frustrating when the other team just does fast breaks and doesn't take 1 shot the entire game. I mean i can keep up with my shooting for a while, but when the 4th quarter comes, it usually gets to be a 20 point blowout by the team whos just dunking the ball.

Sorry if this is common knowledge or in some FAQ, but:

I come to gamespot a lot. But I just realized that the review system is setup in a 1-10 (.5 increment) system i think.

Am I crazy, or didn't the ratings used to be like 100% 97%, 84 %, etc.... ?

I always saw 1-10 ratings from other sites, but I always disliked them b/c it seemed very dumbed down. I liked seeing small percent differences, like 96%. For example, if a game is actually a 96% (or 9.6), I don't understand why a review site would want to do it in .5 increments to give that game a 10 when it is a 9.6....

Am I alone here?

even if they started making mmo's that were actually worth paying full price for, what would it mean? there are only around ten million xbox users and trust me, not even a fraction of these people will like to farm for xp for "eight" hours just to go up a level wich is what these kind of games usually require, and plus do they really have enough people online at any given time to have rooms filled with people ready to play? i dont think so.

in my opinion they either have to rethink the whole mmo structure for consoles a la activision (they're thinking of making cod into an mmo i think, or was it ubisoft? but either way, an fps mmo? count me in.) or just dont put out traditional pc mmo's on consoles altogether, i dont think they really click with the common console folk its my opinion.

By the way you phrased "an fps mmo? count me in" I'm assuming you think that there are no FPS MMOs out there. Planetside is a massively mulitplayer online first person shooter. I'm not sure if its the first one, but it's the most famous. Of course, it's not a new game. but just wanted to make sure people acknowledge its existence.

And as for the op. Age of Conan is going to rock the PC MMO world. I would not personally want to play an MMO on any system except a PC, but if you are looking for xbox mmo's, then Age of conan will be your best bet.

whats your purpose in posting this? no one cares about your pesimistic opinions about GTA IV. is your life so bad that when you see people excited about something you feel the need to come on here and try to bring them down? go back to your bedroom and cry yourself to sleep some more...

Mine has never broken... Are there any trends that people have found for those that have broken theirs?

I mean... Am I taking "better care" of my xbox in some way? Has anyone done any studies? Or is it just random bad luck and manufacturing of the xbox machine itself? Is it length of time used? Is it how cool you keep the machine? Does it have to do with vertical or horizontal placement?

Do we have any bearing on how any of those factors effect the failures of xboxs? Or just pure bad luck

So I just got my shiny new Xbox 360 elite! I'm a PC gamer but just decided what the hell and bought it.

Anyway, I'm sorry if there are many threads like this. But I would like to know what are the MUST GET games for Xbox 360. I'm talking about the games that, if I didn't get, would be a waste of an xbox 360.

So far I obviously got Gears of War. But what should come next?
