I still have to say these updates will equal fail until Sony decides to offer PS2 games for digital download. IF the 360 offers 360 titles (like Mass Effect) AND xbox orinigals, sony can do it as well. Plus, I miss playing the Bouncer and my Shin Megami Tensei games.SkyCommandPlease refrain from comparing the PSN store to XBL, that will start stupid fights. However, your idea that Sony lacks a consistent and current download service for games is one I agree with. Many third party PS3 games are of a size that they could be easily downloaded, and a PS2 download feature is a huge "no duh" as far as features they should totally get behind.

i do concur this.canoecamueExplain in detail why you concur with the notion that a positive review with an 8.0 score and the word "GREAT" below it is a terrible thing that does the game a disservice.
clearly nobody trusts gamespots reviews anymore because they are consistently LOW compared to the average metacritic score... which happens to be an 8.7 right now even with IGNs **** 7.8 score, and gamespots low score due to the reviewer being totally FAIL at games. seriously watch the review.... the guy sucks.Roland123_basicGamespot's low score? He gave it an 8.0 Roland. That means "great". Not "pus spewing sin against god". Please, get over this idea that any score below a 9 is somehow "bad", "low", or a "flop". That is System wars mentality, and here is a little reality check... SW mentality only applies to and makes sense in SW. In this forum it's just... bizzare.
uhh... lol? where have you been... ever? a good psn update is quite rare.. mgs, re2, re3, ff7... thats about it.MethodManFTW
They had a number of good updates in the last half of 2009, actually. This one offers virtually nothing worthwhile, however.
At least we got some videos to watch, I guess...

All of which can be more conveniently streamed right here on our PC's and laptops.
I don't see how they did any worse than they usually do. TheEldestGodIn terms of value and content, we haven't had an update this pathetically bad in nearly a year. Especially as they continue to push the PSP Go, while simultaneously failing to provide worthwhile content for it.
Thank you for stating the obvious, did you have anything to actually add or are you just spamming up your post count?Dude... it's an update.

Click this, and behold the fail.
No PSone cIassics. (The EU got Guilty Gear) But we got more Pain DLC. Yes, you read that right, MORE Pain DLC, (who the hell is buying that stuff?) three PSP games I've never heard of, (I feel so sorry for Go owners, that thing is not getting any support from SCEA at all) and that new Matt Hazard side scroller is priced at fifteen dollars. Also, a few mediocre games are on sale, with Prince of Persia being the only exception, critically. This is a terrible update in my view, lets hope it is not a sign of things to come in 2010. What do you guys think? Anything worthwhile at all here for the first update of 2010?
The point being, It's a lofty, noble goalhxczunerThe road to hell is paved with good intentions. Less ownership and more corporate control is not good for gamers, in any fashion. Would it unify us? Sure, but only because we would all be in virtual chains. No thanks.
I don't see what is sad about us not being ready for less gamer ownership and more corporate control of when and how we play.I think it's a great idea but the support won't be there for it. The whole project is too ambitious, we're not ready for it yet. Like, the consumer mindset isn't in a position to accept onLive as a valid game platform yet... which is really sad
