It was aight. The original was better in some areas (the swamp in it was 10x more creepy than the haunted house looking shit), but this 1 had its strong points as well, mainly with the special effects & horror. Only felt a few scenes could’ve been better, particularly with the acting & the ending.
@inkman66: yeah, then what do you do when open up your new switch that you just got ripped off for & discover its got dead pixels or something else fcked up with it? return it to the scalper? I’d advise being patient or picking 1 up before the holiday
I actually just watched this on Netflix for the first time last night & didn’t think it was that bad.. basically what I expected - mediocre, stupid, yet entertaining.
I don’t understand all the hate for Jared Leto either.. it was the perfect fit for Suicide Squad & their whole take on it. A more serious, traditional Joker wouldn’t have worked at all. So if anything you should hate the movie as a whole, not just their version of Joker (which I thought was refreshing & the most entertaining 1 yet)
@renfairreject: well I’m not Stephan King yo, I didn’t write the shit, but personally I like his style. He’s not afraid to freak people out & doesn’t care who it offends. Thats why they’re still talking about his book all these years later. It would be the same with this movie if they took a similar approach, but instead I’m sure it'll be forgettable like 99% of them. No - I’m not suggesting that they pull a Stephen King in every movie, just that I wouldn’t be totally outraged if they stuck to the source material in this case (in a tasteful, non-explicit manner obviously).
