@sylvafang: Mobile gaming is HUGE, and I'm sure he's more so referencing that than he is the other functions of the phone. You don't need a $650 iPhone to surf the web or use it's phone capabilities, so people are essentially spending $650 on devices that'll do the same thing a $200 phone would probably do, and I think THAT is the point he's making.
@sladakrobot: Not sure why it matters, but there's a good handful of exclusives being made by developers owned by Sony that are on that list, I'll let you figure out which ones are which, shouldn't be hard.
@kiloman_74: I'm willing to bet we'll get info of the PS5 by 2019, and a release in fall of 2020.
Sony is doing so well with the PS4 they don't need to jump to the next phase of hardware, generation, er whatever. Sure they have the Pro, but it's more a overclocked PS4 than it is a NEW piece of technology, so my guess is they'll ride it out with the PS4, sell a handful of PS4 Pros, then move to the next big thing, and chances are it'll be close enough to the release of Scorpio where Sony can enjoy a good 2-3 years of hardware dominance before MS brings out their next machine.
@theduckofdeath: The Kinect thing is what blew me away. I remember MS saying the XB1 console HAD to have Kinect to function, like it wouldn't work without it, so you couple that with a $500 price tag and talk about a nightmare for MS and people that really wanted a XB1 but hated Kinect.
I remember buying my XB1 Kinect bundle and immediately having buyers remorse, it kicked in even more when I started playing Dead Rising 3 and got numerous framerate issues in 720p. Had me wondering what year I was living in.
@wrestlingdude: The Xbox 360 sold quite a few more units I do believe, and did a much better job at staying neck and neck with the PS3 for the longest time in overall sales, granted it had a one year headstart.
This gen they released simultaneously, and it's been a bloodbath from the beginning. I'm willing to bet quite a few Xbox 360 gamers switched over to Sony this gen, probably because of the horrendous XB1 launch that left a bad taste in the majority of mouths out there.
@catsimboy: You're right in that they aren't equal comparisons, but it's the comparison quite a few whiners have been making. Perhaps he's slyly addressing it by making the comment he did?
