I live in Canada as well, the budles that i see are $399.99 for the Pro which include a game Free. To buy this without the game would be the same price. Not sure what the problem is, if you don't like the game sell it. I have not seen any Pro consoles under $399.00 Canadian after the price cut.
Everyone is also forgetting that the Elite comes with the HDMI cable, the new PRO systems do not, there is also a connector to use for the digital audio. Another add on that you will need with the PRO console. Overall value is pretty good for what you are getting. It's not jsut the bigger hard drive etc. More value with the Elites and the all black finish will go with any home theatre.
I was just doing some surfing and came across an Elite bundled with Halo 3 at the Dell Canada website for $499.99 Canadian,I thought that was a pretty good deal if people were looking to buy and Elite before the Holiday season. I can not think of a better game to be bundled with the system. You don't even get Halo 3 with the Special Edition Console. Here is the link if anyones interested. I picked one up, i hope this serves me better that my previous Premium consoles (R.I.P)
Madden 08 review at IGN seems way off, graphics rated 6.5 (wtf), i have not played yet but that seems really low? I will wait and see before buying what others think!
If you really want an extended warranty, i would probably go through EB games. I believe they replace the console in store (check to make sure), when you send it back to Microsoft in Canada, they send you a piece of crap "refurbished" one back. This factor alone has totally turned me off from buying one at Futureshop or Best Buy. It is pretty bad when you send one in for repair that is in Mint condition and get one back all scratched up?
Who thinks they will change the excessively loud DVD drive when they change the chipset? It would be stupid not to address the overheating issues with the drive issues? Hope so, I would like to get another 360 againwhen they hopefully become more reliable.
It's looking more and more like NO each day, I heard that Reebok is not making his Jersey and Nike has put a hold on hisfootwearuntil his leagal mess is cleaned up. Don't be surprised if everyone else follows suit! Looks good on him if you as me.
