[QUOTE="SemiMaster"][QUOTE="dream431ca"] I don't think so. Microsoft may produce another Xbox, but I can't see how they would do it. This feels like Microsoft is about to cancel the next Xbox, if they had plans for another one in the first place.
No X07 is a big announcement. They have plenty of games to showcase, but they might be running low on funds, due to the expansion of the warranty for the 360. We shall see in the coming months, but it looks like Microsoft could be in a little trouble.

You realize the founder of Microsoft has 50 billion dollars right? Do you even have any idea how much funds Microsoft has as a corporation?
1 billion dollar loss sucks, yea, but that isn't going to shut down Microsoft.
If they were in it to make profit off the Xbox itself and not other things like software, the Xbox itself would never have existed, don't ever presume that Microsoft or any other company feels like throwing their money away.
Do you realize how a company functions?? Microsoft may have 50 Billion dollars, but they have a division for the 360. Not all that 50 Billion is spent on a game console. For the Xbox division to stay alive, they will have to make better profits in this fiscal year, and combat the hardware issues. For a company that has so much money, it's quite disappointing they can't solve the hardware issue. They spend 1.3 Billion on warranties (which is not a bad thing), but it still does not solve the problem. It's like a small patch rather than a fix. The cancellation of X07 should show some red flags for the Xbox division. Although it's not a big concern, it still shows some flux within the divison itself.
And, to further my point of money spending, the Xbox division has to ask for more money. The guy that controls the expandure of funds throughout Microsoft (Windows, Office, Xbox etc..) has to see that the particular division is gaining profits. If it's not, they find out why and try to fix the problem. The current problem is the hardware issue. This is the major issue with the Xbox at the moment and the most costly. Keeping this 3 year warranty is slowly draining money from the XBox division and should not be implemented as a long term result to the hardware issue.
So it's much more than just "They have 50 Billion dollars", it's smart busniess. Of course Microsoft will spend more to keep the Xbox alive, but with the current status of the hardware, and the reluctance to provide a real fix, this could really hurt the Xbox in the long run.
okay dude thats y there producing those 65nm chips 2 fix the problem for good so u cant say they arent giving a real fix
