@SolidTy: I was unaware that the Xbox One version was having problems. Thanks for the info.

next gen systems I own. PC, 3DS, and WII U.

I only owned a PS3 last generation and I was all "definitely PS4" until I saw the Xbox One $350 assassins Creed bundle, it is very tempting and I like that I have the opportunity to try something different, which is the reason I bought a Wii U. I just have a few questions because I am very very very inexperienced with Xbox consoles.

1. I have only ever played online multi-player on my PC(CoD, battlefield, C&C, WoW, etc). my ps3 was strictly a netflix, DiRT, and Fifa machine when friends came over. Is playing a game of CoD similar to playing it online on PC.. other than the $60 a year I have to pay or is the experience in some way different?

2. I mainly play multiplats when it comes to the whole sony vs. microsoft thing, so If I can't play gran turismo I'll play forza. On either system I'll be excited to play the exclusives. It'll mainly be used for online matches in Cod and fifa and indie games, and as i mentioned before, If I can't play Killzone, I'll play Halo. I don't have a preference. So, does the xone have an upper hand on multiplats? I'm guessing yes because of the better online?

3. As I said I use my ps3 to play movies and use netflix and use it for entertainment purposes a lot so the xbox one has a huge advantage in that direction for me, but even from reading articles about what it can do, I still have never personally experienced it. Is it pretty handy in the entertainment department based on your opinion?

Plus I prefer the controller. However, It's still hard to make the leap since I've had close to nothing worth of experience with the 360 and even less with the One.

It is good that you have an open mind to your gaming. I will answer you points without bias.

1. Playing COD on the PC would be the same as on the Xbox One. The only thing is the PC has more players in their matches. You would be in time for the Master Chief Collection and you would have a large supply of online matches. You do have to pay the $60 to be online but that money give you security. With Xbox Live, you don't have worry about "Am I going to be able to play online today?" and can sleep with the knowledge that my account is safe.

2. Forza has passed Gran Turismo as being the best racer. I don't know if you would like a game like Forza Horizon 1 and 2 but they are very good. Does the Xbox One have the advantage in multi-platform games? It depends on what you call an advantage. Now, resolution wise, on average, it will be higher on the PS4. but frame rate. on average, will be smoother in the Xbox One. This comes from the higher resolution. When things get intense onscreen, the higher resolution will take a hit on frame rate and that equals slow down. This comes to which do you prefer.

3. The Xbox One can do Netflix and much more. Now the controller. I love MS's controllers. I was so use to the dual shock from the PS1 and PS2, then I got the first Xbox and it was like night and day. It felt so much better in my hand. They feel like you knock somebody in head with it and it would still work perfectly. If you have any concerns about the controller, if you have an Gamestop in your area, they should have a Xbox One demo machine where you can use the controller. Good luck on your choice.

I was reviewing the tech specs of the 360 and Xbox one to see what would cause the Xbox one to be slower at loading games. The Xbox one has more powerful hardware than the 360 but the 360 has more bandwidth than the Xbox one. I will tell you why that would cause a slowdown between the 2 systems if you don't know. Think of bandwidth as data traveling on a highway and the 360's highway has 6 lanes and the Xbox one has 2. The Xbox one's data is coming in slower than the 360's data so it can get you playing your game faster even thou the Xbox one's processors are more powerful. I hope this helps you out.

why is this the case though? Why does the X1 have slower bandwidth? and can it be fixed through a patch or is it set in stone?

I am sorry. When I was doing this comparison, I was very sleepy and got the specs mixed up. I need to compare the specs of the PS4 and the Xbox One instead of the 360. That would give a better idea of what the problem may be. Also, I am not a Sony fanboy. I have always preferred the Xbox One over the PS4. The Xbox One has the games that I like.

I'm not too tech savvy when it comes to talking about the functions of the gpu/cpu etc... but I understand a bit. Where did you find that the xbox one has less bandwidth than its predecessor? I found an article that claimed the "embedded memory bandwidth" for the xbox one is 102GBs vs 32GBs on the 360. While the "system memory bandwidth" is 68.3GBs on the One vs 22.4GBs on the 360. Is there another bandwidth calculation that I'm missing?

I looked on Wikipedia for both systems. I must have got the specs mixed up when I was typing. I was really tired when I did the post. I got the two embedded memory bandwidths mixed up. Sorry about that but now that I am doing this in the early evening, I have been reading your post and yes wi-fi connections can have an effect on download speeds if that is what the original poster is using. I did find one thing the 360 has over the Xbox one. It has an L1 cache and L2 cache. If you don't know what that is, it is memory that is very physical close to the CPU. They store data so the system doesn't have to keep getting the data from the HDD or disk. It saves a lot of time.

I have to go with physical disk but I am not against digital copies. I like having the physical disk in my hand and I can trade it in when I am done with it.

I never buy a game system for just one game. A system has to have some games that I want to play already out or will be out in the future. That is why I picked the 360 over the PS3 because I liked the games better on the 360 and the same with the Xbox One over the PS4.

I can see how you can get burnt out on COD. They are released yearly but I still enjoy it. I have this thing about blowing stuff up and shooting guns in video games. It helps with stress. I look forward to playing Advance Warfare.

I just don't get it I've been seeing a lot of people foaming at the mouth complaining about hardware specs this hardware specs that and hating on the Xbox about it being underpowered, yes I can agree that it's underpowered but does it matter? Why can't we all as gamers come together and agree that it's all about the games? I'm only here for the games! The graphics look great and lets face it they release a new graphics card like every week each system is always out of date, Xbox One, PS4, even the PC, it's impossible to keep any one of those always "up to date" hardware specs that is, so I don't recognize the arguments against Xbox One.

What matters to you? The games or hardware specs?

What you have to understand is the ones foaming at the mouth are Sony fanboys. They want to find some way to put the Xbox One down and talking specs is the way. I want games that is why I pick the Xbox One. If powerful hardware specs the key to wining a console war, the first Xbox would have been on top in its generation.
