LIberty city stories (PS2)

I don't know about you but I can't wait for the GTA:LCS remake on PS2. The only thing I hope is that it won't have the really stupid and useless Sim like gameplay, such as strength and hungar. Thats what put me off SA. It looks like it's coming out soon because in my local computer game store your able to pre-order it. If not then probably Christmas.

10 DAYS TILL MY B'DAY

Birthday

From today I am doing a count down to my birthday:D. I don't really know what I want for my birthday. As you get older you don't really think much of. There are some things that I would like such as Tomb Raider: Legends, Wrestlemania 22 3 disc edition, MONEY, a new alarm clock (boring I know). Thats about it really. Like I said you don't think much of it. Oh, and the stinker is the fact that it's on the day we come back after the holiday. I've been asking to have the day off but I get the old 'you education is more important' speech. It's also 45 days until I go on Holiday:D.

Nostalgia

I started playing The world is not enough today which i bought about 6 years ago and for some reason I'm actually enjoying it. I guess with some games I never lose interest in them. Though thats not the case with Toca 2. Years ago I thought it was one of the greatest racing games I have ever played but now it really iritates me. There goes another game with nothing to look forward to but dust. Thats not the case with my wrestling games. I am the proud owner of every single Smackdown game including WWF Atitude which my older cousin gave me. For some reason I just love to play all the old wrestling games. Smackdown 1 and Smackdown 2 NYR. It probably sounds wierd but I really like to spend a good few hours going through, just seeing Trish Stratus beating up HHH or Scotty 2 Hotty winning every title there is.

Resident Evil

Yesterday when I went out with my mates I bought the original Resident Evil game for the PS1. I have to say I've got so for into it and I think it is one of the best Survival horror gaems out on the market. Though it is so old I still think it is pretty scarey And some points I peed my pants. The main thing I think makes this a scarey game is the music. The strange, creepy Ophera music that accompanies you where ever you go. Other points that really made me jump were when the Hell dogs jumped through the window. Man I nearly jumped out my skin.

The zombies aren't all that scarey, unless there are about  2 or 3  of them in one go. the only thing scarey about them is the moaning they do and the footsteps you hear just before they come around the corner to bite a big chunk out of you. I found the camera angles a bit annoying because I am used to be able to turn it behind the person I am controling, but I eventually got used to it.

Another thing I like about the game is the fact that it isn't totally linear. You can go into just about any room you want unless it is locked. I also think Jill can unlock any closed door because Barry gives her a lockpick before she goes off by herself to explore the creepy mansion. I have started to play as Jill so I'm going play as Chris straight after I've done it is Jill.

First Person Shooters (FPS)

Still on the topic First person Shooters. FPS's have seen the good the bad and the ugly. Take the old 007 games The World Is Not Enough and Goldeneye which were a couple of the best 007    FPS's games on the market. Also don't forget about such games as Red Faction 1 & 2, And the Half Life games. But of course their have been games such as Warhammer which weren't as successful.

There are a whole lot of  FPS's. Ones with mixed reactions like Killzone. I think this is a great FPS, but many people thought it was a waste of space and it could of been made into something better than it was orginanlly. They said it was bland and uncolourful. HELLO. What the game is trying to get across the, is the true look of battle and how depressing it can be. And the people saying this are the people who have played Call Of Duty and Medal Of Honar to death. You'd think they'd think it was good, but no. When I saw it adversited I thought that all the guys that own MOH, COD and big fans of FPS would rush out to buy the game, but I was dreadfully wrong. They give it a load stick because it's just not interesting and the storyline goes nowhere, when the storyline all along is about a war, not just centered around these 4 characters. Of course there are people that like it as I have noticed on the user reviews, and good for them. Lets just hope all those people will think differently about sequel.

I also own Red faction which I of course thought it was a great FPS, but at some points turns into a senseless shoot out, with no real point to it until you get to the cutscenes in the game. Though I mentioned Half Life I haven't realy had the chance to play it yet, I have heard a lot of positive remarks for it so why not include it.

Thats it for now got a throbbing head ache from staring at the screen for so long.

Killzone/FPS

Hey everyone this is my first ever blog so I'll do the best I can. I've just recently written a review for killzone and gave it a pretty high score. Just wondering what you all thought. I know many people have mixed opinions about this game saying it's not worth the packaging it comes in but I personlly think it's one of the best FPS in a long time. Of course it doesn't live up to the standards of such games as the Red Faction series Half Life. The single player campain can get quite boring after a while, but just seems so immersive I can't stop playing. Don't be shy, tell me what you think.
