My tv only sees 480 and 1080i, why not upscale to 1080i and not downscale to 480?

I know what you are getting at. If a game is at 720p then your tv will show it downscaled to 480 instead of upscaling it to 1080i.
I think the 360 upscales the picture from 720 to 1080i if your tv can't get a 720 picture. If that is the case then Sony should add this feature by making an update sooner or later to fix this problem.
So VF5 can only support up to 720p yet the ps3 upscales it to 1080i on my tv which is a 480p/1080i
same goes with resistence. but when i play need for speed carbon it downs scale it to 480p. why?
I just got done reading the interview. Talk about Kissing the rear end of Microsoft. Totally Biased Person.
I understand he's got the right to his opinions, But there is a difference between having your opinion heard and going off on a rant about how the competion is not as good as Microsoft. With a "I feel good about myself beacuse i am showing those idiots at Sony and Square that am better then you...I am god I rule all!" Attitude...I am Done
****New Theory****This actually does make sense. It would be nice to see it happen, however we will not know until it unveiled.
Old Snake is Solid Snake from MGS, as it says in the Trailer...
***Spoiler*** MGS 3: Eva and Naked Snake do it in the Ending Cutscene (Not actually depicted but implied), Eva Disappears....
2009(Big Shell) - 1964(Snake Eater) = 45 years...
Young Snake coule very well be the True "Son" of Big Boss...the offspring of Eva and Big Boss...
This would be a major plot twist....

[QUOTE="LobaFett"]PS3 forces to much on their gamers, Xbox 360 gives the choice of whether or not to...............blu ray will fail but it does have bigger hard drive, 360 better online component and still the games are better ( mass effect, halo3,) but small hdd.mmirza23
lol blu-ray will fail? I guess you've been living in a cave for the past few months.
nevermind the fact that blu-ray has been dominating the sales, heh..
