[QUOTE="Telekill"]I actually thought of this before attempting to try my Oddworld Abe's Exoddus game from PS1 in my PS3. I bought the game used and took the sticker off of it. The top was really sticky, but it didn't affect my PS1 or PS2. The solution is to get some kind of a liquid cleaner that is potent enough to get rid of the sticky, but wont hurt the actual game. A product I use is "Glu-gone". It's works really well.Hotwad

yeah this is the solution i use when i get used or previously rented games. but i beleive its called Goo Gone. great stuff. its a miracle. as for the riginal poster i feel bad, but yeah thats kinda what you get ; )

But if you don't feel like going out looking for the solution, just get a piece of tape, place it on top of the sticky goo and gently pull it off. That is what I do. It takes a while, but it works.

So then the use of your multiple "periods" would be a contradiction then.

[QUOTE="Yuck_Foo"][QUOTE="Master__Shake"][QUOTE="Yuck_Foo"]

Depends on what you are watching...a static image will make Zero difference...movies in N.America are shot at 24 fps, Europe is 32 fps if I remember that right.

[Master__Shake

LOL...brilliant observation...a static image...who is watchign a static image, this is a game forum....anyways when watching movies in the theatres I can see the jitter present in fast action sequences. Anyways there is an easily visable difference between a game running at 30 and 60.

Ok I’ll try to explain it so you don’t get confused. Static vs. Fast moving images are objective in that it depends of field of view, spectral and environmental effects and eye focus. While static images are what you hang on your wall it is also a term used to describe images that do not saturate a 24fps refresh rate. There are a great many tricks based off that concept, for example the blur or tunnel vision some games employ while potentially ‘neat’ are actually much more design optimizations in that large areas of display are removed from full rendering. Other things like dust, fog and sun glare reduce draw distances, all of these things are used to increase a games FPS. Simply saying 60fps is better is failing to understand the basic concept that bigger is not better. Any of the last-gen titles will fall into this category on the PS3. None of them will tax the system resources and thus will run at increased FPS however that does not mean that they are any better for it. Further playing MotorStorm at 30fps does not mean that it would be better at a higher FPS. In fact the exact opposite can be true in that developers would be forced reduce other areas to increase FPS. But thanks for pointing out this is a games forum, sometimes I forget about the kids that play here.

you can get off you elite chair, because you danced around the subject at hand. 60fps is greater than 30fps in terms of smooth motion. Of course, it's hard for games to do and things need to be sacrificed in order to acheive that but to say that the human eye cannot see more than 24 is down right ignorant. Movies can run at 24 because they are real and have motion blur that helps our eyesto go from one frame to another in fast moving sequences. Games don't have this option because while they can be viewed the same as movies, they aren't the same beast. real time 3d motion blur is expensive and used very infrequently due to cost, usually only on characters. DOA4 springs to mind, the motion is a very good example of attepting to go more real or movie like with thier 3d motion blur.

can you two just get a room allready

Namco could have done better than this. They always put graphics to max like TTT but this time they dissapointed me. The engine seems to be the one from T5 and one of the new characters is hard to tell if it's male or female.

azad_champ
The quality of the video was kinda of crappy so it is unfair to say now that it looks the same as T5. I am sure on a high quality this game will look amazing. Can't wait.

Meh, xplay? People complain about gamespot reviews, but i respect it much more than the sold out g4tv. Ah if only techtv or g4tv never merged, there would actually be good games/tech. channels to watch.hazuki
I agree.

Any tv that supports 1080i should be fine, even if it is a 720p tv.

A 720p tv should be able to convert 1080i down to 720p, and usually look just as good as if you picked 720p to begin with. Actually, most tvs are 768p and the usual thing to do is use 1080i because 1080i deinterlaced and downscaled to 768p is higher resolution than 720p upscaled to 768p, you get more detail with 1080i.

Keep in mind too the PS3 has to convert the Blu-ray 1080p24 video to 1080i60 first, then to 1080p if you picked that for output, so the 1080i signal from the PS3 for Blu-ray is no less quality than 1080p output, and most 1080p tvs that are good will do that last step to convert 1080i60 to 1080p for you.

What??? I have no idea what you just tried to say. But anyway,The tv where i have the ps3 hooked up to is 1080i. but it cannot support 720p. i really don't mind. 1080i still looks dang good.
