@sladakrobot: .... mmm different game... rebel galaxy, has you flying frigate/cruiser sized ships, so for its combat, you control turrets on the ship and aim them, not the ship itself, no cockpit view, you fly on a horizontal plane, meaning your ship only has 2 degrees of control, (no flying vertically, loops etc)
rebel galaxy has a story, is narrative driven, didnt get too far, cuz its not my cup of tea.... its music is great, makes you feel like your in a Firefly episode, ...its just too bad the gameplay isn't up to that level as well.... id like to compare it to freelancer or freespace, but those games are better imo if only because you can fly around in those games like you would in real space game,
Elite is as close to a starfighter simulator you will get atm, purely cockpit based, and about dogfighting, a stick is recommended, but not necessary imo, i do just fine with mouse/keyboard...only gripe i have is, it is sort of...space-trucking as you do spend a considerable amount of time flying around, as an eve player i don't mind that too much, but some people do... Also the galaxy is absolutely gigantic in Elite, billions of star...BILLIONS they tried to get a 1:1 representation of the whole galaxy(milkyway) as a result i feel it suffers from what mafia 2 did...(unrelated i know) it has a gigantic detailed world that is put to poor use...
only problem is getting all this shit to work is a pain in the ass...
rockstar really sucks at supporting the modding community in gta5
and then you have to uninstall it if you want online access...
gta5 online was never fun for me, the queing, the drops in connection, only to be restarted for more queing... such a crappy garbage experience, you spend a huge portion of your time joining or dropping from games and waiting.
@logangta5: i didnt see any car mods, gta's cars are purposely designed to look very similar to real cars... but not technically the real car/make/logos/name etc.
otherwise they would have to buy licence's from every car manufacturer
