This is total ********. Apple is trying to force Safari on millions of unsuspecting ipod owners. Like the CEO of Mozilla said in a blog post earlier today, this tactic used by Apple borders on malware distribution. Safari shows up as an "update" even though the user doesn't have it installed.

I myself saw the "update" last night and had myself a good laugh as I unchecked the box. I just feel sorry for the millions of less informed windows users who are being duped into installing software they neither need nor want just so Jobs can say at the next macworld something along the lines of "safari has expanded to xxx millions of people. this expansion is completely unexpected" (cough . . . cough . . . bull**** . . . cough)

If this was Microsoft you can bet there would be lawsuits flying. You just lost my trust with this low down move Apple.

The M16 is definitely not a "noob" weapon. I'm on my 6th prestige right now, and I still love the M16. It is my weapon of choice for medium to large maps because of it's range/power, but I would say it's not a "noob" weapon because it actually TAKES SKILL to kill someone with it.

I just laugh at people who use juggernaut. It never helps when bullets are flying at your head.

The only thing I can think of as truely "noobish" is random grenades on shipment.

As fun as Halo 3 is, it just doesn't feel as groundbreaking as Halo 2. Halo 2 was a MAJOR upgrade from Halo in terms of completely streaching the Xbox to the limit graphics and multiplayer wise while Halo 3 almost feels like a better looking expansion pack for Halo 2. That said, the original is still my favorite.

Rainbow Six Vegas is incredible, as are both GRAW and GRAW2 (though GRAW2 is a bit short).

GRAW and Rainbow Six in particular are penty long (but not too punishing) when played on the highest difficulty, and with the option to do terrorist hunt Rainbow Six will keep you playing single player long after the campaign ends.

I'm happy with my gamertag. It's uncommon enough that I don't have to worry about running into any other apollo's, and it's easy for even the dumbest Halo or CoD player to prounouce when they're trying to tell me how much they absolutely loved getting their ***es violated by me.

Let's just say SSB coming to Xbox 360 is about as likely as Halo 3 getting ported to the PS3.

I don't know how it will work in RSV2, but you should note that in RSV1 you could only have one person on the console when playing online. The only way to play with a friend on the same console was to do 2 player coop or t-hunt in a local match. As much as it seems like something that should be standard these days, you couldn't take a friend online with you (look at CoD4, great modern game but you can't have a guest :( ). Part of the reason for this may have been technological limitations. In RSV1, Ubi really played it safe and sacrificed at least in the graphics department for the sake of performance. That said, this time around they are much more familiar with the hardware and how hard they can push it, so you can bet that if they can they'll try to fit online guests in.

I haven't heard definitively whether or not this is the same in RSV2, but if you want my recommendation I would say wait until it comes out and ask around.

GH3 is definitely a good addition to your game library and a great investment, but . . . If you're trying to decide between Rock Band and GH3, go with Rock Band. 1) The gameplay is way more fun with 4 people and 2) the download content is cheaper and more plentiful. That said, even with both games I've still had plenty of fun with GH3. I like the challenge that GH3 offers over RB, and the wireless Les Paul is head and shoulders above the RB fender. I use the Les Paul for both GH3 and RB. If you're on the fence but not looking to invest in RB then I would say go for GH3. It won't let you down.

If you don't mind paying for a little extra protection/convenience when your 360 breaks go to Best Buy and get their 2 year warranty for $50. When I bought my 360 in the summer of 2006 the factory warranty was still 90 days so I saw the warranty as a good investment. Sure enough, 9 months later I got the RROD, but because of my warranty within 2 hours I had a new 360. Literally I walked into the store, they plugged in my 360 to verify the hardware failure, I picked up a brand new 360 off the shelf, swapped my HD in, and I walked out with all of my saved files/games and a brand new system. I'm usually a Best Buy hater, but that warranty really comes in handy. BTW that first RROD is still the only one I've had in almost 2 years, so that should let you know what you can expect if you take care of your 360 like I do. Just keep it in a well ventilated area and don't move it while you have a disk in and you won't have any problems.

I didn't know exactly what a "1080p projector lens" was but upon checking on ebay I think I found what you are looking at. Honestly, coming from someone who spent weeks reading up on HDTV's of all types and sizes before I purchased one myself, this looks like a scam. I hope you realize that in order for this to actually give you a 1080p projection, your TV would have to be 1080p to begin with, and if you already have a 1080p TV, why are you looking for an alternative. There is no cheap way to go HD for your gaming. The cheapest method to play your games at HD resolutions is to buy a LCD computer monitor, and you'd have to spend at the very least $100-120 to get a mediocre monitor with at least bare minimum HD resolutions.

If you really want to get HD on the cheap, I recommend finding a widescreen computer monitor which is at the very least 1280x800 resolution (technically that's below 720p, which is 1366x768 ). Better yet, you can get an decent LCD tv for under $700 (nothing fancy, but more than capable of making your 360 games shine).
