I love the fact that the achievements are all single player in CoD4. It reminds me of my other favorite 360 game which just happens to be CoD2! Online achievements have a horrible way of killing the fun of online whether its because people whore weapons like in GoW or waste Halo 3 matches going for achievements. The thing about single player achievements is that they take SKILL rather than absurd amounts of wasted time. Gamerscore points should be awarded for talent and skill rather than how many hundreds of hours you've played. I like that I don't have to go out of my way to try to satisfy some stupid goal so the little number beside my GT goes up and makes my e-p*nis bigger! Seriously, why doesn't everyone just whip 'em out, compare, and be done with it so we can get back to the fun part of gaming.

I'm not really trying to decry all multiplayer achievements or gamerscore. I just hate seeing good matches and time wasted chasing after some stupid points that in the end are pointless. It's not like a high gamerscore gets you into heaven or anything.

Red and White only gives 2 channels of audio. If you want 5.1 you will have to use the toslink optical out plug, or if you have a newer 360 I believe you can get 5.1 over HDMI (please correct me if I'm wrong).

You can go online with the Arcade version, but IMHO if you plan on becoming an XBL Gold subscriber I would say a HDD is a must for DLC, demos, updates, etc. You will need a HDD in the future if you plan to use the online for gaming.

My Xbox scratched my CoD4 disc so bad I couldn't play several of the multiplayer maps. Whenever any of the maps came up in MP, I got disc read errors. I took the disc out (it was practically brand new) only to see deep concentric circular scratches that could only have come from the Xbox.

I actually fixed my disc with a technique I saw at a friends house. You can buff the scratches out with just a little water (just enough to make your fingers damp). Rub your thumb in a circular motion gently over the scratches until they buff out. Next, use a lint-free cotton cloth to gently wipe away the water. What you're essentially doing is wiping off part of the thin layer of plastic that is above the actually data stored on the disc. That plastic is what scratches and obscures the disk reader lense's view, causing the error.

I have successfully fixed not only my CoD4 disc, but also a Halo 2 disc that was previously unplayable using this method.

I'd say try to find something you haven't played before. There are plenty of 360 games you can get new and more you can get used for less than 20 bucks. GRAW is 10 bucks used at GS, and they have plenty of copies. If you have to pick from those three I'd say Godfather. Just don't waste your money on Spiderman 3.

If you plan on playing any online shooters a headset is an absolute must. Whenever I play RS:V with my clan, if someone comes into the room without a headset he/she is immediately booted. Communication is key to winning in any team based online multiplayer match, and without a headset you hurt yourself and your team.

That said, the Xbox 360 stock headset is a piece of ****. After my first two went dead in about 3 months, I bought this headset. It's technically a cordless phone headset, but it works perfectly for the 360 (and it is cheaper than the MS headsets). I've had the plantronics headset for over a year now without any hitch or problems.

I use a standare plantronics cordless phone headest. It's not made for the 360 specifically, but it works a hell of a lot better than the stock MS headest. The only thing you have to get used to is the fact that the volume/mic on/off switch is part way down the cord rather than at the base of the controller.

The funny thing is that plantronics actually makes an inferior modified version of this headset specifically branded as an Xbox 360 accessory which sells for $10 more and has a shorter cord.

Even with the pimped out grav gun, Gordon's screwed unless he can get within 10 feet of MC or happens to pull a random ball of energy out of his ***, which would be totally awesome by the way.

Your best bet for trying to make money off of them is ebay. You're not going to be able to trade them in any where, and even if you did find a teller dumb enough to take the games you're not going to get full price back for them. You would have to sell them used since you won't be able to furnish a receipt for obvious reasons. Not to mention, like delta said, they're labeled as "not for resale."
