Several of the boss fights in the Metal Gear Solid games can shoot down most of you claims. The fight between Big Boss and Volgin is enough to prove that Snake can fight in close quarters without hiding, but that technically isn't Solid Snake. Solid Snake also defeats an amazing sniper in long range combat in Metal Gear Solid.

TSNAKE617

Volgan? You mean that guy with no fighting skills at all that relied solely on brute force and that was only a threat because he had electricity running through his body? Yeah, very impressive, considering that two of Batman's villians were able to fight several members of the Justice League /sarcasm

Yep, and Snake lost to them when he fought them, right? Also, Big Boss defeated the Boss, who was considered a master of hand-to-hand combat.

Big Boss defeated Boss with weapons, in fact at the end of the game you even get the Patriot which was the gun that Boss used. Also Boss is considered a master of hand to hand combat because the standards in MGS are low. If you threw her into DCU she would get destroyed any martial artist there

ahh but you forget Solid Snake defeated Raven. He wins in close quarters also.

Ahh you mean he defeated a slow moving imbecile who basically waddles around a cargo bay like a lost puppy and lets people shoot him in the back? Impressive /sarcasm Seriously stop lying to yourself kids, Bats stomps Snake very easily, it might help if Snake could actually fight but he clearly can't unless his enemies are canon fodder soldiers that characters like Meryl and Johnny can kill LOL

[QUOTE="truthslayer1080"][QUOTE="sexy-hippo"] Do you not recall Vamp getting right back up after getting shot IN THE HEAD? If he was going to pass out from pain he would have done it then. But you know what? He got back up. In 4, you knock him out, he's out for a few seconds, then he's right back up. I grew up watching the Batman cartoons.I never read comic books growing up because the closest place that sells comic books is forty miles from where I live. So you're going to tell me Batman won every little fight he got into? EVERY SINGLE ONE? I think thats a lie. No one would continue to read a comic book if there's not struggle. Batman isn't God. He can't possibly win everytime. And yes. The comic book formula is made up, based on my observations.

Yes, Vamp can get up from gun fire, but he can still feel pain. He can be KO'd through melee attacjs, that really isnt debateable. I never said Batman won every fight he got into, you said that he usually loses fights then wins the second time which was a flat out lie. Batman isnt god, no one said he is and no one said he wins everytime but in this case he wins the first and only time, and with ease too

I would LOVE to see Batman take on Vamp in hand to hand combat. And how can you say you can knock him out with Melee attacks? Have you played 4? He'll cut your ass if you get too close.

And you said he's never lost a first encounter fight. I bet you if I get comics of all his villians first appearences a large number of them he will get his ass handed to him.

Those are called gameplay mechanics, if you go by that logic then Snake was able to grab Vamp and inject the syringe in him Like all MGS characters though Vamp is a mediocre fighter and relied heavily on his regeneration, he still has nerves and can still feel pain, Bats could simply disable his arms and legs with pressure points. No, I asked you to name these instances where Batman got his face kicked in on his first encounters and you couldn't name a single time, I never said anything, I only asked you to back up your claim and you failed to do so.

And he would proceed to stand back up. You can't knock Vamp out. Vamp got shot in the head and stood right back up. How do you knock someone out when its impossible? Snake pumped tanquilizers into him and he still stood up. How can Batman beat that?

Its the comic book formula. Meet new guy, get in fight, lose, come back, kick ass. Every comic book I've ever read has been structured that way. But the way you're making it out is that Batman shows up, kicks ass, guy comes back, gets ass kicked again, there's no conflict. Batman just kicks his ass no matter what. If that was the case then Batman would have disappeared decades ago.

And if you couldn't tell, Iwas making fun of the movies, the cartoons, and the old live action TV show.

He got owned 3 times in MGS2, once duiring the Fortune fight, once during the actual boss fight and once where you actually snipe him across the big shell. Vamp may be hard to kill but he can feel pain and be knocked out or can pass out through pain Its the comic book formula? Why have I never heard of this? Oh thats right, because YOU made it up. This thing does not exist in comic books and when I asked you who kicked beat Batman the first time you came up with a blank. It is very clear that you have no idea what you are talking about, Batman doesnt have to lose to someone to beat them the next time, Solid Snake and Vamp are both pathetic opponents that Bats could easily beat the first time around. I really dont see where you are getting at with your rambling

[QUOTE="truthslayer1080"][QUOTE="sexy-hippo"] No. Batman would run back to the Batcave and spend twenty minutes on his computer that somehow knows everything and find a way to suppress them with a flashlight. Then he'll come up with a knife proof outfit in zero time and show back up and for some reason everything is the same. He comes in even though everyone knows he's coming. Appears in some random place in the room without an intrance and says something cheesey. Thats just how Batman works.

sexy-hippo

Ignorance at its finest, btw I am still waiting for you to name those characters that kicked Batmans face in during their first encounter Oh and no Bats wouldnt be able to kill Vamp because Batman doesnt kill, but that wouldnt stop Bats from beating Vamp into unconsciousness

Imagine getting thrown through a steel wall by a guy that can destroy a planet with his fist. Of course Vamp got back up. Vamp may be hard to kill but he is easy to beat
