SOME GTA IV(by T)

Image 9

[video=6188467]

With all the news about GTA IV being different from GTA San Andreas, I hope the game has not toned down. I like its edginess. It's interesting to read that GTA IV has gotten focused attention from Mr. Bloomberg(NYC Mayor) and the Chicago Transit Authority's president, whom had advertisements for the game removed. This game is a blip on the screen in the face of what really requires attention, especially in NYC. LOL
I've read, there are about 40 new things in GTA IV and this game will change the way we see video games. That's a heck of a tall order. GTA IV will change the way we see video games? Wow. I'm ready to see this game in action.
My feelings are, the lawmakers know that video games are not the blame for violence but if they can keep us debating this silliness we will forget the real, or rather, valid news and happenings in our cities. Whatever the GTA IV game holds can be no worse than the truth of that city.

CHECKIN' IN (byT)

What's happenin' GS friends. How are you all? It's a little after midnight in Cali. I have not purchased any new games in a while and I haven't played any of my consoles lately. I've taken a little hiatus from gaming. The weather has been so beautiful that I spend all day enjoying the outdoors.

Right now I'm watching and eating I'm also reading book cover of The Stand, the Complete and Uncut Edition by Stephen King The complete and uncut edition.

How's the weather where you guys are? Any new games? What's the new buzz in your gaming world? Any of you reading a good book?

REINVENTION(by T)

Never be afraid to reinvent yourself. To experience yourself anew. To explore your many layers. There are many whom brag about being the same as they were when they were in secondary school. If only we weren't human beings with many dimensions of ourselves to explore.

It's not starting over so much as it is removing "skin" that no longer fits, or that no longer represents all of who you are. It's experiencing the you that whispers for release. Release form your self imposed limitations and taboos.

What kind of person have you wanted to be but found no outlet? What have you been wanting to experience of yourself but have been hesitant? What do you want to add to the person that you see in the mirror? What new statement do you want to make?

You're calling you. Answer.

HELLO, HUGS AND KISSES(byT)

WELL HI GUYS. Funny, I miss you all. March 8th was my wedding day. I've had a long hiatus from Gamespot. I was surprised I remembered my password. How have all of you been? Give me the scoop on yourselves and the gaming world. You can send me a pm if you'd like. Thank you to those that have sent me well wishes through my pm's. Thank you also for those that voiced their concerns for my well being. Your kindness and caring is appreciated beyond your knowing. Also thank you to those that just dropped me a line to say hello.

For those that do not know, I had a destination wedding in Canada. Here are some pics..Breakfast on my wedding day. I ate very little. My Best Man is sitting across from me with the sausage on his plate.

VALENTINES: A THOUGHT(byT)

When I was single I still loved Valentines. It's not just for romantic couples. Spoil yourself with a wonderful meal, chocolate, a manicure and pedicure for yourself, maybe a whole treatment at a spa with massage and facial. You can spend money on yourself, on your well being. It is interesting how what we do for our well being affects those around us in a positive way. You could even have a Valentines get together at your home, where you prepare meals and food items that are red, pink and white, You are truly as limited and sometimes unhappy as your imagination.

Many of you have said that this is a day that makes people whom are romantically unattached remember that they are single. It is surely your choice to have that thought. It is a possibility that this could be a day to remember how many people love you and care about your well being. Also, your focus could be turned towards the people that you love and care for. This day is not just about romantic or sexual love. This day can be translated into a spotlight on loving yourself, kindness and your friendships.

I would like all whom read this to please list a few things that they love about themselves and or their lives. The perspective check will be wonderful.

A GIFT: FOR ALL WHOM DID NOT GET THE SPOTLIGHT AND DID NOT GIVE THEMSELVES THE SPOTLIGHT, MALE AND FEMALE THIS IS FOR YOU

CRUISIN'(byT)

Spent some time on the site watching some cool vids and reading gaming news. I see that Super Smash brothers is going over big with the gaming community. Even when I was a little one, I didn't like games like Mario or Sonic. None of those type of games kept my attention for too long. So it does not surprise me that I'm not interested in Super Smash Brothers. I wonder what the demographic is for this game. Is it wide? One rude comment said that the game was for little girls and old people. Whomever wrote that was a genius right? *sarcasm*

I watched a trailer for The Club. It looked okay. I'm not sure if it's classified as a shooter. But the video showed guys just running and shooting. I wonder how that would hold up after doing that for an hour.

NBA Ballers: Chosen One's vid was interesting. I'm hoping it tells a story unlike NBA Ballers: Phenom. The coming up stories done in the sports games need some juice, some color. The stories need to be told in a different way, with more variety of circumstance for the athlete.

I loved the vid for Rainbow Six Vegas 2. The game looks like it has a good dramatic story. The characters look like they move well. LOL It looks like the new Rainbow Six will be entertaining.

Jumper is a movie coming out starring Samuel L. Jackson(and some others). There is also a game tie-in. The article says the game does not really follow the movie. I don't know guys. How many game movie tie-ins really do well? Strangely I do sometimes like to see the reverse. Movies created from some games. Mostly animated though.

It's Not That Serious(byT)

I have noticed that many on GS and Myspace are taking their virtual friends lists too seriously. People track others and request to be added to our list for many different reasons. You may have written an entry that sparked the interests of someone. You may have awesome pics on your blogs. You may have secret admirers whom just love to read what you have written but they do not have anything to say.

Why is this virtual world taken so seriously? I have many persons in my friends list that have not ever spoken to me. It does not bother me. They may not have anything to say. I see people threatening to remove people from their friends list, especially on Myspace. Sometimes I get an itch to type a bulletin on Myspace telling folks to calm down. It's not that serious. I have noticed that the same people that are angry about their virtual friends not visiting their profile pages are the same individuals whom will not visit or comment on the 100 friends that they requested. LOL

This is for entertainment purposes. LOL Why is the experience being made so intense? How many of you feel guilty if you miss a couple of days on someones page? Why? We all(I assume and hope) have lives outside of the computer. So a virtual friend misses a couple of comments on your page, so what. Have fun, relax.

Right now...

It's midnight in Cali. I'm eating toast and soup. And I'm looking at a Scifi movie called The Lost Room. In short, it's about this guy who has to find an object, a prime object, in a hotel room that will save his daughter. It's more mystery than it is scary. I love late night movies. It something about the night and the wee hours of the morning that makes bad movies great. Especially if you're watching it in HD.

ALL ABOUT THE GAME(byT)

Preparing for my Superbowl shindig. I've anxiously waited and now it's here. Well, one more day. As the sun sets, the clash draws nearer. I will make a run to the store in the morning for some last minute items. Right now I'm watching ESPN and all the specials leading up to the game. ESPN is now showing how the Giants came to be in this years big game when, in the beginning, their season seemed to be over. The Patriots have been bad a.s.s. I love watching them play. The team takes football to an intense level.

I watched a GameSpot Superbowl match. It was okay. Too short for me though. I like to see the guys grind it out. I loved the makeshift commercials. Hilarious.

I may play a little Madden later. Speaking of games, this feels like a confession. Give me a moment...I don't think I like Halo. Halo 3 is my first game of the series. I have and am playing it, continuously giving it chances to impress me and it hasn't yet. Is something wrong with me that I am not ecstatic about one of the most sought after games for the gaming consumer? Controlling my virtual soldier gives me headaches(bad ones). I get a little nauseous when I try to fly any of those, I don't know what you call them. The controls are awkward to me. I also, even with cheats, have not found any skulls. I think that is hilarious. The skulls elude me even as I spend hours looking for them. I fear this is just not the game for me. If Halo were a movie, I'd watch it. The graphics are beautiful and the story is appealing, which is why I purchased the game. I continue to play the game because I want to finish it, not because I wholly enjoy it. I want to finish the fight. LOL

Have any of you had the experience of having a heavily popular game and finding that you are not enjoying it? I have other games that I had not begun to play because I was playing so many at the same time. I have in my collection but have not played;Far Cry, Bioshock, Def Jam Icon and Lost Planet. I have set aside playing Oblivion, Need for Speed Carbon, Saints Row and Gears of War. I was playing my sports games heavily; Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08, Fight Night Round 3, Virtua Tennis 3, FIFA 07 and Madden and then I decided to play my Halo 3.

Like I said, I will finish the fight to see how I fare but Halo 3 is not the blast I expected it to be. When I'm done I'll hit the road to Bioshock.
