i got forza 2 thinking i'd only get it with the wheel, but thought the same as you and didn't want to spend that much. So i bought just the game and think that it's still great with just the controller.
i was sorta disapointed with the demo and thought that the handling was way to difficult (for me) to do. But i bought the game regardless and i'm glad i did. It will last me alll summer.
