I want to buy a FPS but i can't decide which one. I've seen many videos for both games, and have checked out the review for COD4, and both look good. Graphics are very good for both, and to me the gameplay looks pretty similar, however, i love how in Soldier of fortune, limbs fall off and fly everywhere. With online gaming though, i dont know anything about Soldier of Fortune, and of course COD4 online looks spectacular. I obviously don't want to buy both because i will end up favoring one over the other and practically waste my money....sooo any thoughts? (if u guys havent seen anything of Soldier of Fortune, go watch the videosat gametrailers)
In response to the technological difficulties encountered during the development phase for the PS3 versions of Stranglehold and Unreal Tournament 3, Midway CEO David F. Zucker commented, "For our first wave of next-gen games... lead development has been on the Xbox 360, due to its earlier introduction and larger installed base. We ran into some technical issues developing for the PlayStation 3 that have taken more time to finalize than we expected."
So Zucker points out that they have indeed found problems developing on the PS3 but will result to fix them in the future. To reassure that idea, Zucker went on to add, "These include... making sure that the frame rate, networking, and graphical features are at parity between the platforms. We've also encountered challenges as a result of shipping two of the very first PS3 games using Epic's Unreal Engine 3." Concluding it he added, "We do believe that these technical issues are now complete at a core level in our engine. Looking ahead to 2008, we expect the PS3 versions of our titles to ship day and date...with the Xbox 360 and other SKUs."
i just wish they had co-op i mean come on tht should b mandatory for all fps's oh well still buyin my friends will just have to wait till i die lolhnic7466
for sum reason n4g isnt working for me. anyways, ya it has been confirmed that there isoffline splitscreen, but is there ONLINE SPLITSCREEN? anyone know?
Did the devs forget about this feature, are they lazy, is it actually that hard to incorporate splitscreen into ps3 games? What is it!?! It wasnt in COD3, Motorstorm, Ghost Recon 2.....NOW i hear its not gonna be in COD4! the 360 version will have it so why not the ps3. I was excited when they said Ghost recon 2 for ps3 will be exactly like the 360 version.......NOT!, no splitscreen option......YES this is a big thing for many people like myself. Warhawk and Haze have splitscreen so why not COD4??
This problem has been under the raderfor most PS3 games.

If you haven't already got it, Resistance offers a brilliant split screen co-op experience. And GRAW2 does have split screen.
sorry, i meant online splitscreen for graw 2, and i believe resistance doesnt have that as well
