Well if you compare GTA4 to San Andreas, it looks amazing with the detail. The graphics were good for its time.

I finally got around to playing my DLC game that I purchased awhile ago, Serious Sam TFE. I remember really enjoying this game on the PC and loved the graphics back then.

But holy cow, this game on Xbox is bringing me to my knees and making me rage. I can't get past the Temple of Rameses. There is one large room where the game just sends me endless waves of enemies who charge me faster than I can reload. I'm down to saving every 30 seconds of progress, but it feels hopeless. I get overwhelmed and my health is destroyed within seconds.

I've played a lot of FPS and never hit this kind of brick wall. I have died over 50 times in this one freaking room, and about ready to throw in the towel. I set the game difficulty to Normal. Should I start over on Easy? Anyone else find this game brutally hard?

if you have 100 xbox games you haven't even played, you must be pretty rich, so money is no object... why not just buy a new xbox

Yams1980

Lol, I'm not rich. I just take full advantage of big sales and trade ins. I never buy a game at full price.

Update: Well this really stinks. Best Buy is completely sold out of the holiday bundle everywhere. The earliest they can ship it to me is after new years too. I am just extremely pissed. I have Dishonered, Xcom, AC3, Halo 4 all waiting to play, and I can't play them because my Xbox chokes at the worst time of the year.

I have to wonder sometimes what the fark is Sony smoking. The old store was fine. The new store is pure garbage. It takes a minute just to load it up! Then they have deals mixed in with movies and games. Nothing is easy to find. Sure, the graphics are nice, but not worth the hassle. It's so hard just to find the basics like the latest demo or the new DLC. I just don't understand why they never can get it right. Even after all these years, something as basic as youtube is slow and clunky.

I swear I have the worst luck sometimes. It's almost comical. On Black Friday, I came very close to buying the 360 holiday bundle for $200, but decided to pass since my old Xbox is still running. Now I begin the week of my holiday vacation, the one week of the year where I have lots of time for gaming, and of course, my Xbox does the red ring crap on me.

Here's the weird thing. It's done this before, and I would unplug the power brick over and over, and eventually it would start working and keep working for weeks or months. This time though my trick failed. I took it to a game store ,and they tried a different brick. It still lit up red and would not power on. I tried it again at home, and this time, I got a cloud of smoke and fast flashing lights. It was toast. Or so I thought.

I tried it one more time an hour later, and was shocked that it booted up and has been running every since. WTF. Well this week, Best Buy has the 250 gig holiday bundle with Skyrim and Forza and $25 GF for $250. STill not as good as BF, but I fear it I wait, the console will jump back to $300.

I refuse to dump another $300 on Xbox. I paid over $400 for my Xbox back in 2008, and it brought after just one year and light use. It's outrageous that we have to put up with such crappy hardware.

OTOH, I have a huge 360 backlog. Over 100 games. I can't let all those games go to waste. What would you do in my situation?

Thanks, I was able to figure it out. Apparently the thing that confused me is Dahl has two different turn in points very close together. One of which is to go talk to Lucky. I did this, and was able to close out a mission which then gave me the road warriors mission. After I beat that one, it unlocked the gate in the southeast.

The game is very glitchy though. One one mission, I spawn the vehicle, but drove it off the side of teh platform, and it was stuck. I tried to respawn new vehicles, but they appeared in that same stuck area. Only thing I could do was quite the game and restart.

I'm about 50% through my 1st playthrough and so frustrated with this game. I hate FPS with jumping puzzles or make me hunt for things. Every since I started Dahl Headlands, I've had the hardest time finding the turn in spots so I can't get the rewards for finishing the missions.

Now I have a turn in spot indicated in the southeast corner of the map. However, there is a completely barrier blocking my path down there. I've tried jumping over it. Blasting it. Nothing. How do you get past this wall?

Another annoying thing is my mission log still shows that I need to purchase a shield and turn in on one of the first missions. I've done this already and Zed is gone so why does it stay active?

What else is still to come for the rest of the year? So far I've got;

Borderlands 2

Resident Evil 6

Call Of Duty Black Ops 2

Dishonored

Doom 3 BFG

Assassins Creed 3

Hitman Absolution

Far Cry 3

Medal Of Honor Warfighter

dan_gerous87

You forgot Xcom:Enemy Unknown. Sad that more people aren't excited for this time. I love turn based strategy so much, but it's a starved genre in favor of more FPS crap.

PS3 will have the Wonderbooks crap while Xbox will offer exclusives for hardcore gamers such as Halo 4 and Forza. It really pisses me off that Sony is ignoring the hardcore fans this year to pursue kiddie games. Only two killer exclusives for 2013 and nothing for Vita? Pathetic!!!!

I gave the game another shot last nite, and gosh, this game blows seriously. As others have mentioned, it's a party game, and I feel ripped off because it was not marketed as one.

I tried co-op through Xbox live, and immediately became confused and frustrated. Apparently if you join a game that is several missions ahead then your mission log gets all screwed up. I suddenly had dozens of missions to complete, and lost track of the correct linear progression in the storyline. Then again, maybe there is no storyline. It's just going around and shooting the same enemies over and over.

I really don't get the appeal, and it sucks that other great single player games like Bioshock Infinite got delayed this year, but not BL 2.

2012 has been a big disappointment for me because all the titles that I was so looking forward to got pushed to 2013, and I'm left with sequels that i really don't care about.

Borderlands 2 for example. I recently started playing this game and bought into the hype. After 10 hours of playing, I have to say this game really is a huge letdown. The graphics are really cool, but let's be honest, that novelty wears off pretty quick.

I don't need a complex storyline in a FPS, but I like to feel like I'm playing for a purpose, and I'm pushing a storyline along. But single player in Borderlands is lifeless. There is no real interaction with the characters. Just take this quest, get your reward, go loot up and fetch this. I thought the game boasted about having countless weapon choices, but so far, the weapons are pretty much similiar. I am so tired of grinding and killing skags.

At least Fallout 3 always had something new and interesting to discover. Is this a multiplayer only game? I hate these type of games because they have no longevity. People move onto the next game, and the online community dies.

Can someone explain to me just what is so great about this one?
