geez Louise! still going at it huh?

lol...the ongoing debate between @tormentos and @ronvalencia, depicted as a lover's spat, in a bathroom. (sorry Ronvalencia, you'll have the play the role of the pretty young miss in this one. i doubt you'll be offended but still, no offense)

Geez man, wow, take it easy.

The article is just saying its better to have a game run at a lower resolution if it can't run 1080p efficiently on consoles basically. Which is true. high resolution is great...but a game functioning properly is what's really important.

Sony isn't getting any credit or praise for Shareplay because it's Microsoft's idea LOL.

it was one of the features on XB1's initial system structure plan that people were "supposedly" so upset and offended about. Microsoft then restructured things to what people said they wanted, and Sony stole the idea.

now we have people trying to drum up praise for Sony after damning MS for trying to implement their initial Family Share plan lol. funny how that works.

Except shareplay was first revealed when the ps4 was announced in the February 2013 event before Xbox one was even revealed. Nice try though.

Feb 2013 PS4 Reveal

Talked about 35 minutes into the video.

Also shareplay really has nothing in common with the family share plan other than the term share.

@SolidTy

you definitely have a point here. can't be disputed at all. Sony announced their plan first. doesn't matter whether MS announced their plan at E3 or not...Sony put theirs out there first. i didn't realize that. i was wrong here.

but i do feel Family Share had more promise than what Sony is offering. either way though, i was wrong *shrugs*

I don't think it was so much the family share plan that people were damning it was what freedoms we had to give up in order to get family share plan. People were angry about the always online console/24 hour check in requirements. People were upset about that and that is why family share was dropped because those things all went hand in hand

true, they were lumped them all together for some odd reason. then took them all away together. they did say they might bring it back in some form, but like the topic says...its out now on the ps4 and is awesome. good for ps4 owners. seems like a cool service....except with when that boy got his Destiny players deleted. besides that...yea, its good shii.

My morals remained the same since I first posted in SW back in 2005. I call it like I see it. You are the one that doesn't answer to anyone. You don't post pics or gamertags or anything. You want people to explain things to you, but you don't answer to anyone. You aren't alone because that is the attitude of many fakeboy and alternate account users that stop by GS. If you are legit, we unfortunately wouldn't know it. We can only go on what you post and your posting history paints the same story we've seen a 100x before. It's not an original premise. So, many of us exercise caution depending on who we are talking too.

Regarding new accounts that pop up and wax on and on with fanboyisms, those accounts aren't spoken about too much in here, but the legit users of SW always treat those users as an alt account or even a fakeboy account. We see the threads, we jump in for lulz, or we don't post at all. We see who made the thread, etc. This was established years and years before you ever joined GS with this current account.

All we know about you for certain is you love Xbone and Xbox 360 and are passionate about those products...and like to go offtopic on users that say things you disagree with about those products. Disagreement is fine, but the off topic stuff gets old.

You do go a bit far though as exampled in this thread. This isn't an Xbox thread, but a thread about Share Play which presumably you have no first hand experience. You spoke about some vague PR and then proceeded to engage users on a personal off topic level. You will go offtopic in threads like this Share Play thread because, and this is a guess, it's hard to wrap your mind around a company delivering something your prized company hasn't delivered yet. I wonder what you were doing before Xbox existed? I remember those days like yesterday. Decades of nothing Xbox...I wonder where all your passion would have been then? Most likely you weren't born or were too young, which puts you at a younger age and explains why you have either no machines or one machine, due to limited income when first starting out.

We don't know with a gamertag or picture if you are a fakeboy or alternate account. People create alts to troll users and hide from their main account. Sometime they create alts to troll specific users. I've seen plenty of last gen users patrolling these forums and defending the current gen machines. You could very well be an excited 360 owner saving for an Xbone and arguing here about it daily. These patterns were around years before you ever came along. These other alt accounts and fakeboys may even sometimes defend you and hate every word I type for instance, but it's the truth. Rather than explain it to these scrubs (there will be new users pulling the same things in two years), usually we all just remain silent and watch the accounts dance around in the forums in front of us.

Either way, I do hope you enjoyed this time. Peace be with you. :P

i don't ask anyone to explain anything to me unless they write me saying something i don't agree with lol. most of my posts are responses to users who quoted me. also i'm hardly a new user on here. i got into it with you over a decade ago on here back when the last gen started. and i only have 2000+ plus posts. Gampespot did whatever they did with the site and when i logged in again my screenname was changed to this. but its still the same account.

anyway, just because my posts seem to generate a strong effect on people its not as if i'm on here spamming threads constantly trolling lol. i'm not a rabid MS fanboy. i support them because they're doing well as of late, and did well last gen as well imo. if it was Sony doing it i'd be singing a whole other song. they ain't. i have no vendetta against anyone here...i'm not following anyone around trying to get back at them, for whatever, like your insinuating. please lol. well besides a little with Desmoronic because of how i got him to spaz out in the Infamous SS hype thread lol. but i don't even follow him...i just call him a moron when i get a chance.

and my initial post WAS on topic. the thread is about Sony's Share plan getting more acknowledgement and respect. my point was, and maintains, it would be hypocritical to put this practice Sony has on a pedestal after cows, and whoever, damned the idea when MS put forth their Family Share plan. how is that off-topic? i just wasn't agreeing with the topic...but the topic stayed. cows and the like cheered about the "vanquish" of the plan. to turn around and say it's awesome and an innovation now because Sony is doing it is indeed hypocritical. i hardly every go off-topic with my initial post. but yea, keep sticking to your morals, sometimes Ty. its nice/interesting to hear you go full heathen when you're trying to win some BS SW argument about video games lol.

lastly, i give no fucks about how any particular user feels about me in the slightest lol. you can keep mentioning it if you want but...*shrug*. you said before that people would avoid a thread i posted in, solely because i posted in it. and i've got to say i L-O-L. if i have that kind of sway on here i'm stunned, and i've got to say thank you. if my presence alone ruins your fun and makes anyone leave a topic they were participating in...well XD. especially when it seems like you, and others, value this forum way more than i do, and i most likely left the thread already lol. every letter i post is an obvious win apparently...no matter the outcome.

It doesn't ruin my fun, it just means you won't get as many serious answers as you might hope from a bunch of established users...but if you don't want srs answers to your questions, then wonderful. Everything is as it should be.

Share Play is here without a 24 hour check in and with the ability to trade, rent, and sell your used games. If M$'s incredibly vague DRM + family plan couldn't be executed in a consumer friendly manner and not release, who cares. We don't even know what it was because it doesn't exist. What we do know is Sony bought Gaikai way back in 2012 and within 2 years had PSNow and Share Play up and running. Sony didn't buy Gaikai randomly, they knew exactly why they made that expensive purchase. Gaikai had meetings with Sony, they talked about how they were going to roll out Gaikai behind closed doors and Sony revealed Share Play at E3 when they revealed the PS4. This was the same E3 we saw the Xbone and the DRM. Any company can come out and make sweet statements about something they would have done if not for XYZ. M$ said some stuff about what could have happened if the anti-consumer DRM/24 check in stuff stayed. It didn't stay. If they couldn't do what Sony has done, then whatever. They chose to promote tech towards Kinect and TV anyways. What matters to me as a consumer who owns both products is the features in my home right now and how it works. Some features don't work out as great as I hoped and other work great. M$'s vague family plan is way too vague to worry about and they made those vague statements way after Sony bought Gaikai. Who cares in the end. What matters is the delivery of the services and history will always record the innovation of Share Play was brought to consoles this generation.

It's not the end of the world. M$ has done plenty of wonderful things in the past, this is just not one of them.

When I'm driving down the street and I put on my air conditioner in my car, it's nice to know Packard automobile company in 1939 gave us the car air conditioner, and I might reminisce about the Goldberg Brothers fable (four Goldberg brothers — Lowell, Norman, Hiram and Maxwell). Other companies like Ford might have announced they tried to to get it out to the public but they didn't deliver. Ultimately what really matters is the damn AC works and it blows cool air on me when I'm driving. Share Play is here, it works, and that's what matters to me as a consumer. It's a cool and convenient service and it doesn't come with that pesky 24 hour check in service and all that other no-used games baggage. I imagine Share Play is an innovation that will be copied in due time because these companies inspire each other and it goes back and forth. Share play is a great feature because I can play co op or fighting games with a friend who doesn't own those games. I can pass the controller to a friend who should have taken a left at Albuquerque.

uh...who cares LOL?? this forum shii isn't serious business fam. and if it is this forum ain't one of the big boys. i give two fucks if i get avoided. if my posting has ran people into hiding, aye...i have no problem with it. i'm still saying piece...and like i said i'm usually gone soon after posting a few things anyway. they're only detracting from their own hobby...it's not affecting me at all though. because i don't come here to necessarily talk directly with anyone, or make any buddies lol. so yea, that's on them, not me. where do you get from me that i need a bunch of strangers to be enamored with me for me to feel secure in myself? i don't need anyone to validate me in the slightest guy. and i have no idea why you think you telling me any of this would affect me in any real way. and no offense, but that's a very immature mindset there Ty(seeing the Looney Toons video you posted explains itself now lol).

i'll say this, whichever fool came up with that "avoid him...hide" plan needs to get smacked in the back of their head honestly. then throw a dunce hat on it lol. because its having the opposite effect than i think the plan was. i don't have any real serious problem with anyone on here, really. but at the same time i care more about the lint in my ass crack more than i care for anyone here lol. i'm being straight up...there are a lot of seemingly nice guys on here. but i'm not out to impress anyone or am looking to be a part of any click on here...we're not in middle school anymore Ty. if your not comfortable standing on your own at your age, i pity you. if your still yielding to peer pressure and childish nonsense at your age, i pity you. but seeing how you act on here, spouting your gaming resume and posting your video game photoshoots, i would not be surprised at all if your still trying to be down with the "cool kids" at your age. because you come off very insecure and are always trying to prove yourself...even when people don't ask you to lol. but yea, for the most part i'm civil, if they're civil...if they're trolling, i'm trolling. when i get a serious reply, i respond seriously...if i get some BS, i respond in kind...n am gone soon there after. i have no problem with any in particular...and if they have a problem with me i give less than a ****. this isn't a rant...just letting you know. sooo yea...wow lol.

i admitted my fault to another user on here on the Sony Share subject. i was wrong about my original assessment of the situation...i've been a broken clock on here the last few days honestly.*shrugs*

i didnt read your last paragraph though. you were going off on some Albuquerque bullshit and...no. have a good one bud, Godbless.

Sharing Digital Games

Everyone in your home can share digital games with each other. Your Xbox One can become your virtual game library filled with digital games that different people in the home bought. Anyone can pick any digital game on your Xbox One, sign in with their own gamertag and play – even if the owner is not signed in. Like physical media, you can also play many digitally downloaded games without being online, although experiences will be best when connected to the internet and Xbox Live. Finally, when you purchase a digital game, you can start playing even before the entire game downloads.

Because your digital games go with you, you can also use and share digital games when you sign in to another console. And, if you happen to buy a digital game when you are signed in on your friend’s console, your game will also be available on your Home Xbox One console for anyone to use.

I think you missed the point. Have you ever played a F2P game where you get plenty of coins to buy all of what you want without putting in tons of hours?

Also look at the words theyre using.... "Incentive" They wanna encourage you to to make purchases. What happens when your character who is out of rotation for Possibly ( dont know how many/ time frame of rotations) is out for 3 weeks to a month? It's gonna push you to spend money. All F2P games do it. It's just the amount of how much lionhead will push you to spend that money.

Warframe is an excellent F2P game. BUT it's impossible to make any grounds without playing it almost every day of the week to make their in-game currency.

The only F2P game that got it right was Path Of Exile. EVERYTHING was cosmetic that was purchasable and didn't effect anything in the game. As does dota, I dont know enough about LoL to comment on it.

No F2P isn't a bad thing. I'll absolutely check this out but using the word incentive and having rotating things almost giving players a slight pressure to purchase things with real money.

I mean we really don't know, will characters be only purchasable with real money? Silver? How much silver will you truly get in a day? Will they cap it? Will the price of things outweigh the amount of silver you can get in a play session? These are all questions that have to be considered.

i understand what you're saying. but watch the video i posted from Eurogamer for more info if you want. the guy went to Lionhead's studio and played the game. had a Q&A about it and the practices they plan to implement. he even addressed what you just pointed out directly. again, he addressed most of what you said in the video.

yes, F2P games usually put you into positions where you have to decide whether to spend your money or grind it out and earn the coins to make the purchase. but there's an option and a choice there for the person. you can't even buy overpowered weapons and use them instantly. you have to level up to use them. it all sounds, solid and fair. i don't have a major problem with it. it all remains to be seen though. it all sounds positive. i'm hoping what he stated turns out to be true...you are taking the more skeptical approach. it what it is.

well it is a F2P game you do have to take it with a minor grain of salt.

Nonetheless i'll definitely check it out

cool, i hope it surprises you.
