Firstly, should i buy a DSi? i do not own a DS, PSP or any such console, is it the best option?

ALB4L

I own a PSP and DS, and I have to say I play my DS A LOT more than my PSP, but it really depends on what you look for in a handheld console. I personally play a lot of RPGs, there are a lot more on the DS than the PSP. (well.....that are good)

Secondly, are there any compatability issues between Japan and Europe with everything from games to WiFi?

ALB4L

I was actually considering getting one, my friend is actually in Japan till the 25 of November. Until I read articles that Nintendo has confirmed it's region locked. So yes there will be compatability issues.

Lastly, how do i go about buying one in Japan from Europe? Can anyone suggest any good websites/suppliers?

ALB4L

I'd say either wait for it to come to NA, (assuming you live in NA) or get the DSLite.

Really good game, but gets a little repetitive over time and little replay value...

I'd say go for the DSL....because it's gonna be about 40 bux cheaper and you never want to get anything thats in the first batch....unless you're willing to wait for a year....

well....assuming she's in her mid-late teens, I would have to say tetris, professor layton (my gf loved this game), cooking mama or elite beat agents

the problem with you people saying this game looks pretty horrible is that you people are comparing it to the console versionsFILIPINOMAZTER

I complete agree with FLIP....the DS isn't exactly known for their graphics. Considering the cell shaded style, I have to say I'm pretty impressed. I've always been a fan of cell shading.

This game brings everything back to its origins, the GTA and GTA2 days(well....from what i've seen from the screenshots)

this is how it goes......people that only own phat will obviously prefer the PHAT,people that own a PHAT and Lite would prefer a Lite and the people that only own a lite would obviously prefer a lite.....

The thread should be called "Who owns a PHAT and/or Lite"

Has everyone forgot about the Chrono Trigger, Dragon Quest IX and Suikoden?

Sure, Dragon Quest IX and Suikoden won't be coming out for a while but it's still somethin to look forward too......unless....you REALLY HATE JRPGs.....
