Read the comment again as you clearly need to, then look at your avatar and past avatars that consist of almost exclusively little girls barely clothed, then read the comment I originally replied to. Do you still need me to spell it out for you?
>I-it just never happened! So stop talking about it!
Valve thought they could get away with something as anti-consumer as monetizing mods. Just because they're the least anti-consumer company on the block and actually remedied their actions doesn't excuse the fact that they still tried.
And don't be so foolish as to believe that this kind of thing won't make its return with Valve championing it.
And they also gave us refunds, family share, user reviews, SteamOS, Steam controller, Workshop, Linux-support, 50-buck streaming platform, etc. They empowered PC Gamers like never before.
Just admit you fucked up, and didn't know what the **** you were talking about. Admit you heard something bad being said about Valve, wanted to be their champion, admit you were wrong and apologize to skelly34 for being a jackass.
Yeah, let's just allow people on a digital platform to sell "used" games for a reduced cost and allow our profit margins to go out the window.
Valve could easily remedy this, allow them to resell their games but only for a price that greatly exceeds their retail cost so they're impossible to sell, boom, roasted.
Instead of actually allowing them to sell it through Steam. They give those people a code, then those people can do whatever they want with that code, but that code can only be used after a period of time of issuing it. Steam already allows for family sharing anyway, right?
