@ultimateimp: What happened to the "old gamespot"? I see people mention it a lot and that much of the posters had left after the new update.. why?
I didn't say anything about "old gamespot." But I'll answer to what I think you meant by that. Multiple lay offs, and now most reviews are written by people who don't work for Gamespot, I think the word is "freelancer"? With that said, this isn't why people are complaining. The website itself is shit. People aren't happy with the new design for articles, and change in the comment system. It's a carbon copy off of Giant Bomb's, they copied the code en mass. The people who work here are simply different, that's not bad inherently. But it is when they can't write for shit. One of the reviewers would throw a temper tantrum if you criticize him.
@davillain-: Raise her up on Mario, and make sure she doesn't have any of you weird tastes and she'll grow up to be a good person. Make sure she hates Animu as well, she has to.
Pretty much the same reason I'm here in system wars, every decision GS has made this year has killed every other part of the site. Even a majority of the comments in the obvious clickbait articles are lacking, there's just no possibility of discussion anymore. And I think a lot of people migrated here from other parts of the site because this place is a lot more tame than it was before.
This is actually true, I left Gamespot frontpage and now I barely lurk around it. These are reasons as to why I'm enjoying this place much less. I don't stay here for the website anymore, I could care less about Gamespot. The System Wars forum is where it's at.
Number of comments in articles have greatly dwindled, and people who populated articles seem to have left.
Kevin Van'Ord left, and with him left what seemed to be what little quality writing.
Gamespot going through an identity crisis, with all the crap about covering Hollywood, and the site being much harder to use.
Frequent bugs, this has always been an issue, but boy oh boy how worse it has gotten.
Reviews blatantly ignoring important aspects of games, performance, giving a pass to gamebreaking issues, bugs, and sometimes they even ignore mentioning what are some of the most important features that are missing.
There's just one reviewer here who's left that I recognize, and that's Peter.
Being a parent is a mistake. Children take your money, comfort, and strip you of your happiness for the next 20+ years. When all that is said and done, they will just leave you. Besides, there are too many children in this world that they're killing Earth. Help save our planet, use a condom.
P4G is a bad game, why would anyone do that to themselves?
But I thought it was the best game this generation, barring maybe Bloodborne?
If I said anything else, you and your ilk would've banned me. Now, I need to edit that post and praise a game that appeals only to hormonal male teenagers to protect this account.
