Apparently, it came out today for PC and tomorrow for 360, which doesn't make any **** sense at all.
Pretty much. They tried to make a copy of WoW, because they thought people would buy the game just because it had Star Wars on the front, and 4 basic character classes/progression/skill trees and a few hybrid classes, which were all jokes because they were the exact same for light and dark side. It didn't really seem like a Star Wars game, except for the fact that the entire population was running around with sabers with names that all started with Darth. It's a themepark MMO, EXTREMELY linear, only one path to take for every class, mission, and PVP match. Sure, the story might keep you engrossed and checking to make sure you weren't just playing KOTOR 3, mostly because mostly the only people you saw in game were NPCs. But once you hit 50 and the only thing left to do is PVP over and over and over and over and over and over... huttball was fun the first time I played it, and all the other game types were HORRIBLE, one-sided and all around boring as **** Bioware really ****ed this one, shoulda stuck to single player RPGs.
I have it pre-ordered and I will be playing it around 7 am this morningDro_813Alllright I won't be far behind ya.
I know I am, for the 360. Â Already got my points ready, have the day off work (just happened like that), and plan to spend the majority of the day jumping back into CS. Â If anyone wants to group up and play just add my gamertag: L0STPERFECTION (first o is zero). Â You guys excited?

Sign off.
[QUOTE="davidsworld3"]Well, you just described what Activision does every November, except they charge $60 and then milk you even more with map packs. CS has been around for 14 years and it's only been released once where you had to pay for it since it's original launch. It's fun, it actually takes skill, and it's only $14.Yeah sorry my bad I thought it was supposed to be a whole new counter strike game, and was gonna go for full price. So basically this isn't a true sequel or anything...whats the point? It uses the same engin, maybe a map or 2, a bit of polish thats about it, it seems.
Â
I been playing the beta and dont really see that it's really necessarry. It's not a different engin they could easily have just made an update on cs source instead of this. It's simply a way to milk the series more.
Â
I much rather see a NEW cs game using the latest tech, gore, destructive enviroment, bigger scale of maps that are not modded ones, those typically are confusing a lot of times ppl that make go overboard on it, but can be fun.
Â
Not saying the game sucks but I dont play cs that often anymore nad yes it was my first mp experience when I was a kid, and still play it very rarely, I prefer the original version at this point back then I played on a specific server with a group of friends on a regular basis was epic, but by the time source came out we were turning to different games.
Â
Anyways my point is, is it's kinda disappointing, to get a simple polished version when that really matters little.

Truth, they push out more generic garbage then I can keep up with. Â At least Valve doesn't repackage their games every 6 months and slap a $60 price tag on it. Â I am more than willing to shell out ~$15 for a HD remake of one my top 5 FPS of all time. Â I played the **** out of CS back in the day, and I am even happier to do so now because I can buy it on Xbox and use my controller/not have to bother with Steam.
Haha same, Dark Forces, wow... completely forgot about that game until now. Duke Nukem, Doom, Turok, Goldenye, Jedi Knight, Half Life...STAR WARS: DARK FORCES...I wish I was kidding....
Then came Duke Nukem...which was MORE FUN BUT ALWAYS BROKE ITSELF...

Yeah, a quick Google search gave me that answer, as well. I don't even care how popular it is or how well it does, I'm still gonna buy it, 1.6 and Source were my favorite games back in the day. Haven't done much PC play lately (mostly because all my friends are on Live), so I will be buying it for the 360. Even then, the trailer boasts cross platform play.lol...they are only asking like 15 bucks for it.
