@drinkerofjuice: Like I said, I have no problem with the word being used if you make a valid argument and support it in a way that shows us HOW its overrated, even if I may disagree. Simply stating "it is" overrated doesn't make it a compelling argument. These kinds of arguments are the main ones you see on forums that generally are supported by dislike of the game, or not liking the game as much as something else. Again, this is just simply incorrect use of the word. I'm not saying you did that at all, just speaking in general. At least you're describing (albeit surface level) examples of why your experience of the game does not match the reviews and hype surrounding it. I'd rather see posts like that than __________[insert RPG here] SUCKED and is SO OVERRATED bc I liked ________________ [insert RPG here] more and nothing is better than this game!!!!

Maybe you should be telling people to back up there opinions instead.

Also, not directing this at you but it's possible to like a game and still think it's overrated. Shocking, I know.

The key word is "Roleplaying".

In Dragon Age: Origins, my warden was a total slut. His mentality was that he was a short timer, likely to die very soon and from a rough background so he took his pleasures wherever he found them before the taint claimed him. He banged everything that moved and believe me, once you've seen a couple of sex scenes of, say, a short, bearded dwarf banging Morrigan that's not something you're in a hurry to go back to.

For Dragon Age: Inquistion, I decided my character this time was going to be a romantic. She wants to find true love to share the incredible burdens of running the Inquisition with since she does expect to live through this all and then assume the monumentally difficult job of reforming the Chantry, the Circle, etc. going forward. She's not interested in casual flings as a result.

Only played it for half an hour but Warframe had some pretty slick moves, shame about it's whole business model.

Other than that Half-Life 2 mechanics are still goat, sorry millenials.

Are you peeps crazy with DA:I praise? This is the worst open world (if you can call it that) around. Every single quest, character and location is copy/pasted and is on par with MMO's when it comes to quests. This shit is like Ass Creed but with DA combat system, it was so damn bad. FO4 exploration is excellent, you can't even compare the two. Sure it has some shitty quests BUT they're still better than the garbage in DA:I. DA:I should be compared to ass creed more than anything else, or even FC4, another chore of a title.

Ya'll are drunk saying DA:I is even 1% better than FO4. DA:I was trash and that's coming from some1 who've defend the hell out of this game when it launched. But dozens of hours later, when you've actually explored a good bit of that game, you see the colossal flaws in it. DA:I is the best example of a copy/paste job i've seen in a while. The amount of filler that game had was mind blowing. Felt like an Ubishit game... and i hope to f*ck my Mass Effect 4 won't be ruined by the same garbo game design.

I feel like you're confusing DA:I with DAII.

The level design is different from the Hinterlands to the Western Approach to the Storm Coast. Same thing goes for the dungeons and caves. The only thing the maps have in common is a that they all seem to be fairly mountainous and even then, that's a superficial assumption. Ferelden maps are indeed mountainous but a closer look at Orlais and then out the west it starts to plateau here and there.

I'm not sure where you're getting this "every single quest and character" is copy pasted thing through unless you are referring to the Inquisition requisitions missions. In that case, yes those are copy/pasted but they are also infinite and optional and really only serve as a way to grind out more power for War Table operations.

>Ya'll are drunk saying DA:I is even 1% better than FO4

DA:I has better graphics, voice acting, animations, compaions and story. The combat has still been dumbed down grotesquely but it's still better than FO4's durr shoot, kite, shoot, tactics. The level design is also infinitely superior. I've explored all of FO4 (followed the actual railroads to find the Freedom trail...) and I'm pretty sure it's about the same size as the Hinterlands which is only one of the many maps in DA:I.

I do agree that there is a huge amount of stuff to do in that game though. At least enough to scare, overwhelm and frustrate casuals

Not confusing it with DA2 at all. I played both extensively and even DA2 was better than Inquisition, yes, DA2. The "huge amount of stuff" to do is close 100000 rifts that are all the same, kill X amount of shit and come back for reward, collect 10000000 shards. That's your huge amount of stuff, its all filler, the kind of crap you see in mmo's. DA:I is an incredibly hollow game, a mess. DragonAge 2 was more fun because of superior combat system and at least it had couple of decent quests. DA:I is the worst Bioware has done since ME3.

I don't know if you noticed this but the amount of rifts is actually relative to the size of the map. The Storm Coast and Fallow Mire's for example, being smaller maps only have 2 and 3, whereas on the bigger maps like the Hinterlands and the Emerald Graves there's 11. There are definitely a lot of shards in the map, but I personally didn't have a problem with it since it encouraged exploration and some of them were situated in interesting places that were fun to get to :^) I also hope you're aware these things, rifts/shards/kill x for reward aren't exclusive to mmos nor was something established by them and are actually just common tasks in open world settings from GTA to TES.

You're error, however, is in saying that it's a "hollow" game and only highlighting what is really the optional grindy side quests. There's Astariums, tomb puzzles, party banter/dialogue/missions, war table operations and dungeons on top of the main story. And did I mention the game is extremely pretty to look at? And omg level design.

>DragonAge 2 was more fun because of superior combat system and at least it had couple of decent quests.

HAHA you almost got me but unfortunately I happen to be replaying DA2 right now, buddy. It's the same combat system except Warriors have that weird thing where they can swing their greatsword/maul at amazing speeds for some reason. And by "decent quests" I assume you're referring to the kill x amount of shit and come back for a reward quests, right? :^)
