[QUOTE="vENGEFULrAPTURE"]Today, Is a bad day...
WHY? My Playstation 3 of 15 months has died. The yellow light has struck. I really need some advice. I was the proud owner of the 60gb model. I have a two year product replacement warranty through best buy. PROBLEM. The 60gb is no longer being manufactured. I am NOT going to settle for a 40gb. I was told that if this happens, Best Buy will give you the best they have... June 12, MGS4 Limited Edition PS3 comes out. Is this a good idea to wait?
Also... My hard drive is full of Music would Best Buy allow me to keep my hard drive, or should i just be sneaky and replace it with a blank 60gb hard drive? This is just really a tough situation...
XD the icing on the cake: The system won't eject GTA IV... so i might have to rebuy that.
I can't blame Sony... but it kind of is unfair that i can't just get a quick replacement

DUDE I HAVE THE SAME SITUATION AS U BUT MY PS3'S HARD DRIVE IS SCREWD UP NOW MY PS3 TURNS ON AND DOESNT DO ANYTHING....THANKS ROCKSTAR GAMES THANKA A ****ING LOT. ALSO I WAS PLAYING GTAIV AND I ALSO OWN A 60GIG PS3. AND I WONT REPLACE FOR A 40GIG. THE 80GIG SEEMS GOOD.
i don't think its the game though
just a coiincidence that we both have the same game lost in our systems
Well i think what i'll have them do is send it in to get repaired if possible, i REALLY want to keep whats on my hdd...
otherwise, i'll just take the money and repurchase an 80gb when that comes out.
i just want everything to work
i called a service rep and they said that the only thing they would do is give me a 40gb model...
i asked about the 80gb model and they said i'd have to pay extra, which makes no sense. I heard the bundle would sell for about $500 and i paid $600. im going in tomorrow to see if i can get them to send it in to sony for repairs, then atleast i wouldn't lose the hdd info.
thanks everyone for your suggestions
I would just like to make it clear...
the yellow light, is NOT the HDD orange light next to the green wifi light. The Yellow light is where the green power light is. Im gonna try removing the HDD anyway like some of you suggested
