That is a big rez for that card, it will run it good enough. I think you will be fine with it. Though if you aren't you can upgrade the videocard. The 3rd rig is the best, but really too much for pictures, web-surfing, and light gaming.millerlight89

How hard would it be if I went with the simple dell with the basic card that came with it for $749.99 then install a 5870 my self how hard would that be and can it be done?

[QUOTE="vIGAMEIv"]Somebody tell me with the parts alienware is giving me how much would it be?MaoTheChimp

Probably sub-$1000, considering that you can get an i7 920 paired with a 5870 for around $1100-$1200.

So Im overpaying $300.00 $400.00 around that much

[QUOTE="vIGAMEIv"]Im glad everyone suggest ibuypower and building my own .O dont want to come off as a jerk because I do appreciate the advice but ipower have some pretty bad reviews along with customer service. Also I have a $1500.00 credit with dell that has no financing for 12 months that really helps.I can see if those cards are a option on the alienware.Do I need dual cards or is one fine enough?neatfeatguy
I don't like when people base their decisions off of "bad reviews" online. Yes the internet is a good way to obtain information....but the info you find should not directly affect your decision on what you should or should not buy. Find me a business that doesn't have any bad reviews. People tend to focus on the negative and voice their opinions when something bad happens. It's a lot easier to find bad reviews then it is to find good reviews. People tend to post bad reviews over posting good ones.... Now I'm not saying that ibuypower is a great company, but don't judge them too quickly. They keep their costs down by using "less" name brand products and skimping out on shipping a bit. Their Tech Department does suck for customer service - I tried dealing with them a few times and the people working the tech lines are dumb as rocks. Other then that, their computers do tend to come to you all ready to go without any problems. Would I suggest them....? I guess it depends on the situation you're in. For you I'd say if you have a $1500 credit then go with Dell, though you will greatly overpay them for a gaming PC. There is no way around that. If you didn't have that credit to use, I'd suggest looking at a few other PC companies (like ibuypower for example) or to just build your own. Depending on the GPU, one card is generally enough. If you picked up a 5770, I'd think you'd might want to get a second one down the road. Otherwise a 5870 would be enough on its own to last you a long while.

I do agree maybe I shouldnt be so quick to jump on it based off reviews .However being really not that great at computers I would prefer a company I know that has it shares of bad reviews and also alot of good reviews,Buying a computer for $1400.00 knowing the customer service is not that great or the products makes me feal a little uneasy. Its also not just one site with alot of bad reviews but many websites have bad reviews on their products.I also feal whenever you buy something online reviews are the best bet knowing how a product is.
