@kingtito: Wow you have very selective reading. The point is, MS would have long canceled the game by now despite what the fans wanted. I have both consoles and do not believe in fanboyism over a corporation, try again. I give credit where credit is due. MS has to step it up especially when it comes to games. No, there comes a time where you have to be objective, like accepting Witcher 3 is an all around better game than Fallout 4, there is not a single Xbox exclusive rivaling TLOU or even Bloodborne, c'mon. Believe me, I wish there were. I'd get more use out of it. As is, Sunset Overdrive was the last title worth something.

I experienced 2 generations worth of Xbox consoles now 3, Microsoft hasn't changed they're still making the same promises of "change" and "revolutionizing eco systems" the same tripe they've been spouting for 3 generations. Like Kinect and like every other non-software gaming centric product MS hyped up, they failed. So all I was hearing during that E3 from them was hot air, again.

@vallixas: last guardian shows sony cares about gamers? How is this exactly?

Also phantom dust is still being released was announced at E3.

Interesting is subjective what you are saying is pretty much stereotypical. Like saying most Ps4 games are weeaboo.

A remaster of the original game, the reboot, what we thought we were getting is dead. Probably because they don't have the developer to take on such a task. Did you own the original? I did it was quite terrible.

It has games it's just most of them aren't interesting when compared to the competition. Gears 4 looks the same as Gears 3. It's not helping that Microsoft cancels every game they don't see making profit or a game that hits a couple road blocks. That's one thing I will give to Sony.

The fact that The Last Guardian still exist and is still happening shows Sony cares more about gamers. MS is the reason Kameo 2 never saw the light of day, Phantom Dust and Fable Legends are now also canceled. As is Xbox games only appeal to a certain crowd. They need to diversify. Maybe with Recore that can happen, but i'm not holding my breath.

Sorry but Gears and Halo in their current states are not going to help Microsoft in this market where there are loads of better multiplayer shooters to be playing. They either need to evolve as games or MS needs to pump out new ips like Sony did last generation.

@heguain: Not with that weak combat, it doesn't. It's funny because people complain about Uncharted being cinematic-centric but falling short on the combat portions, but Witcher is really the same way. Well no, actually I take that back. Cinematic is the wrong word to use for Witcher 3. It's more like an interactive novel.

I have both systems, and i've had them since launch. I actually owned the Xbox One before PS4. Last generation I preferred the 360. I'm just pointing out, your point about some Playstation fanboys being hypocrites is moot because so are Xbox fanboys. Because every single arguement that was used against Playstation last gen Xbox fanboys have completely changed their views on. I remember all those arguements as clear as day because I was on these boards when Xbox fans would troll relentlessly.

My point about Playstation is valid by there actions on here when Insominac announced Sunset at a Xbox One exclusive. Fanboys are hypocrites period, they flip flop all the time as I"m sure now the it seems like Sony won't have the most powerful console, now graphics won't mean so much to them. You bringing up the 360/PS3 means nothing to my point about how Playstation fanboys completely disregarded Insominac all of a sudden cause they wanted to own their own new IP and Sony wouldn't allow it thus they went to MS to make Sunset. They had a bunch of negative and dismissive things to say about them now all of a sudden, they are great again, give me a break LOL. They are hypocrites and flip floppers and that goes for all fanboys cause I feel the same way about Xbox fanboys that talked trash about Bungie, especially if one day Bungie decides to make a Xbox exclusive game again and then they want to praise them all over again. Your point to what I"m saying is moot.

I really never noticed anyone dissing Insomniac.

Me too. I for one who said not interested in that game due to the art style, but most people here include Sony fans said it looks good, but only laugh when it flop in sale!

Nor did I. Most people were neutral towards Sunset Overdrive. Insomniac was never one of the "favored" developers for Sony to begin with. You either hated Resistance/Rachet or loved them. They were never Naughty Dog or Santa Monica, so more of a "I don't care" attitude is expected.

@hrt_rulz01: For the amount of money you spend on consoles, plus the online service every year you could have easily owned a rig that trumps both consoles, so the "we have no money" excuse just doesn't fly. I bet half of the people making this excuse will run out and buy both Scorpio/Neo day one.

I wonder if the people who complain about AAA story driven games actually support the lower budget titles like Transistor.

Oh you mean how every single arguement Xbox fanboys made for not wanting PS3 is now defended now that they apply to Xbox? Last generation it was PS3 has no exclusives, now Xbox has none and the arguement is "but MS is bringing their games to a larger userbase why is that bad". Last generation it was all about graphics and Xbox gamers did not shy away from rubbing it in Sony fanboys faces how every multiplatform performed better on 360, I know because I was one of them, now the shoe is on the other foot and the arguement is "720p is not that bad you guys are exaggerating it's not all about graphics!!!111". I also remember Xbox fanboys making it a point that a game wasn't exclusive if it was on PS3 and PC. Xbox One fanboys have literally become the PS3 fanboys of last generation. The delusion is stronk.

Can we get any unbiased impressions of Sunset Overdrive here. Don't tell me it's GOTY and the greatest thing ever. Just tell us if the traversal mechanics solid. Do the mini-quests feel fun or more like tacked-on filler? Certainly there's a few Xbox One + PS4 owners around here?

I have a feeling this Spider-Man game is using a lot of the knowledge they gained from SO. I hope they make the missions fun in this one. And wouldn't it be great if some of the interiors could be entered? They don't have to model the whole interior of a skyscraper. Just let Spider-Man crash through a few windows and hallways, like shortcuts, to get to the baddies faster. Give a light indicator which windows/doors are breakable. Make the feeling of chasing and saving people feel exhilarating. Send all damage bills to Peter Parker, New York.

I'll put it like this, Sunset Overdrive IS Xbox One's best game. Though that's not saying a lot. It doesn't have much competition.

^ Except Uncharted 4 was good and better than most of the exclusives released thus far on X1 or PS, Quantum Break was not.

Last generation it was multiplayer was killing gaming, now it's emotional games. I really wish people would just play the genres they like and stop with the drama already because other people like something different.
