let's suppose your 60gb ps3 broke. You contact Sony and you are told you are gonna get a replacement. Are you going to get a downgraded ps3 (80gb - 40gb) as a replacement?? That wouldn't be fair would it?

True, the PS3 60 GB uses an integrated Emotion Engine to run ps2 games. On the other hand, the ps3 80gb runs ps3 games through software emulation, So the ps3 60 gb is the one version with the most features. ps3 60gb is the way to go, grab them while you can!!
