@homestar99: Definitely not shit. W1 had an amazing atmosphere and the beginning of the story. The combat will feel weird at first, then you'll get the hang of it and it will be fun for a while but by the end of the game it starts to feel a bit repetitive. Even so, I still played through the end because I was very much embedded within the story at this point.
My favorite part about W2 is that at the very beginning of the game you're thrown into the shit and the combat is new and for a moment you're kind of like what the **** am I supposed to do. But it makes an impression and sets the pace for the game. This time, however, the combat stays interesting through the whole game and the story provides several twists and paths to follow.
W3, basically all the Witcher games have a steep learning curve that clicks if have a little patience and eventually becomes a blast. I think in this game there is the most opportunity to fine-tune the combat to your personal play-style.
@ughz: Why you trolling so hard dude? It's cool if you didn't like The Witcher but a lot of other people do. Just let it be and go read articles about games you do enjoy.
@ughz: I wasn't really comparing the games. I think the Shadowrun series and the Witcher series are both excellent in their own ways. I certainly would never refer to The Witcher as "a joke of a game." It's actually quite successful and innovative.
I was, however, comparing the companies in that, CDPR grew into a highly prosperous company without abandoning their core audience. I would love to see HBS attain the same level of success, as they have also shown to be highly attentive to their fans.
@lonesamurai1: Harebrained Schemes....They are where CDPR were in 2007. I really hope they can achieve some of the same success because they are awesome to their fans and truly dedicated to making quality games.
I'm also really liking what I'm seeing from inXile.
@jerfff: This is a nicely written response (much nicer than, obviously you're retarded) to all those that people that complain about the combat in this game. While I've tried to explain to some people that there can be a bit of a learning curve and once it clicks it'll be tons of fun, this gets at a lot of the roots causing people to feel dissatisfied with it.
@Salt_AU: Ah, there it is again, this anger that you're always projecting on to others. That whole name-calling thing sure does make for a strong argument.
This is Bioware's last chance in my book. Dragon Age is dead to me. I do still have hope for Mass Effect but if I have to pick one goddamn elfroot I'm done for good.
@Salt_AU: The Ghost of Christmas Past implores you to look back at all the Witcher articles (almost every single one) and you'll see, you've just described yourself.
