LAN is way more fun in my opinion, however if all your friends have mics it can somewhat compare to it, LAN is still better though.

I don't see your point, if something managed to keep you entertained for over 5 years it damn well is worth those 1000$

The closest you'll get to a fallout RTS is probaly APOX, but it's in closed beta at the moment (Which I'm in, woo!)

The Same thing is occuring with me, I try to join a server, loads... times out. then my router crashes. however i can still access the other computers on my network before i reset my modem. I used to play it on my old computer when i had a hard copy of the game, this ran smoothly. However, now i am running the steam version of the game on Win7 32bit. If anyone can throw some light onto a solution for me, that would be just dandy. thanks.Sgt_toast

Good job you just bumped a thread that's over 2 years old.

The closest we are to something like Quake 3 is Team Fortress 2 or Quake Live of course, but that more or less is Quake 3. Serious Sam HD also gets pretty close, but there's no rocket jumping for example.
